Wisdom Tooth Extraction

I had my wisdom teeth extracted there. The services were really good, friendly staff, modern equipment and Dr. Lida was very professional. The price was unbelievably cheaper than other (high end) clinics I had visited for the same treatment. Well, I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for "Better services with better prices".

I had treatment over a long period which involved an almost complete mouth reconstruction. This involved implants, bridges and crowns. The work is finally complete and I can eat again so I'm very happy. The dental work was totally professional and my dentist took into account other health issues which come with older patients. He also listened and explained everything prior to any work being done. As someone with a dental phobia (and who hasn't) I was impressed beyond belief at the gentleness used at all times. There was no way I could have afforded this treatment in Australia and I would be loathed to put myself into another Australian dentist's care after my experiences here. The value was exceptional, pricing the same for all customers, foreign or local. Personally, I couldn't speak highly enough of this clinic and would strongly recommend anyone needing dental work to visit. I attended 3 different clinics initially and spoke to various dentists and other foreigners who had dental work done here. One was nothing more than a sales pitch with foreigner inflated prices. The clinic presented well, the dentist did not. Another was similar, again with a sales pitch and the impression of a money making factory. Neither impressed me. Pka Chhouk was different. There was no sales pitch. The facts were laid out. Explanations given and pre work quoting available. The area the clinic is in is a bit daunting but once inside and talking to the dentist I was happy to further investigate. I'm so glad I did!

Professional, quality, superb value and personal treatment. I feel lucky and privileged to have found Dr Mok Phyrum’s Dental Clinic. Thanks to the recommendation of a Dutch friend as well as a dentist-professor from New Zealand who I have known for many years. I have used Pka Chouk for a variety of services. I commend them highly for their professionalism, warmth, high-quality facilities, and technical excellence.In particular, I was greatly impressed by Dr Mok Phyrum. He took the trouble to convince me to go in for an implant when two other dentists had suggested a complicated and ultimately more expensive bridge surgery, which would have cost me many natural teeth. When offered the argument that it implant was likely to fail, he offered to make up should the implant fail such was his skill, manner and confidence. I might have gone in for the worse option and it helped that I trusted Dr Phyrum. He was warm, compassionate with an amazingly friendly and courteous staff who are generous with their smiles. The implant took around 90 minutes. Though I had feared to undergo it, it turned out to be perfectly pleasant and almost painless. Leaving me free to think my own thoughts most of the time, confident that my dentist was highly recommended and knew what he was doing. Four months later, I think I have made the right decision - the implant is still in place.Thanks very much to Dr Phyrum and Dr Mok Lida. They have treated me with gentleness, confidence and skill for other dental matters such as fillings and root canal treatment. Yes, a terrific value. One more important observation: The clinic is located around the area of Olympic Stadium and City Mall, but in an area that is not fashionable and pricey, which means they can offer the same or better quality of treatment than the five-star dentists, but for one-third lower prices. I would rather take a tuk-tuk or PassAp taxi and the trouble to find them. Thus save hundreds of dollars than trust my fate to bigger, but less personally attentive. Five-star dentists. After all, I can get five-star treatment by having dinner at a real five-star hotel for a fraction of the money that I saved by going to Pka Chouk Dental Clinic.

Fillings, Dental Crowns

I had a filling and two crowns done at this clinic over about a three-week period in January 2015. Dr Mok was excellent, and made sure I had enough time between each procedure to make sure each one was successful. I really recommend this place. Dr Mok was excellent and explained each procedure really thoroughly, including drawing diagrams, to make sure I knew all my options and understood why he was recommending one option over another. He never rushed the appointments and was really careful when it came to filing down the crowns to make sure my bite was even. I recommended this clinic to quite a few other travelers I met in Cambodia.

Dental Crowns

Best dentist I have ever met, they did a great job fixing a crown. They did a post and core casting for a 3 root post and core buildup that fixed my crown perfectly! They didn't try to upsell me to an implant, they did what I wanted and saved my tooth root. It feels great! Best dental work I have ever had done. Thank you all very much. Awesome experience, the best clinic I have ever been to.

My teeth were broken, I asked about price here in Siem Reap (now I live there) but it was too much for me.So I decided go to Phnom Penh to clinic where my friend Teemu had best service last year. It was really good decision, doctors remember us and service was excellent ,can't be better. What about price,it was 50% cheaper than in Siem Reap. Very professional personal, very kindly. Really recommend this clinic to all who read this review. If someday I will need help again I am 100% sure I always come to here, don't need other clinics at all.very big thanks to all personal !!!

Root Canals, Dental Crowns

If you've never been to Phnom Penh before, you might possibly be put off by the area. Don't be. The truth is that Cambodia as a country has suffered terribly in the past 60 years and it all looks very run down. This Clinic is almost at the southern end of Street 223, and if the local taxis have not been there before, if they come come in at the northern end, it can take you some time fight your way to No 541. It is best to tell the taxi to enter from Charles De Gaulle Boulevard.In spite of the general appearance of the area being run down, Pka Chhouk Dental Clinic is as modern a clinic as you would find in Europe or the US and has all the latest technology. It is overseen by Dr Phyrom, and the walls of the reception as well as most of the treatment rooms are covered with certificates and diplomas from courses and schools in Asia, Europe and the US that he has attended.My initial consultation was carried out by Dr Phyrom whose English is quite good. If he doesn't understand you, he will repeat or rephrase the question until he does. That is very important because in many Asian countries, people have a habit of telling you that they understand you when they don't. That's not what you want from a Dentist. He was aware that everything had to be completed in a fortnight. It was a lot of work including 14 crowns and several root canal treatments. I required well over 20 hours work in the chair. I told him that I had a bad reaction to Novacaine when it contained Adrenalin, and he made sure that there was plenty of non-Adrenaline Novacaine to hand. The schedule was so tight, that on one occasion, he kept the clinic open to 20.00 instead of the usual closing time of 18.00 especially for me.The treatment was carried out by his colleague Dr Vitou. The worst thing I can say about him is that he is a Manchester United supporter. Dr Vitou's wife is about to give birth, and I joked with him about what happens if the baby comes along while he was treating me? When you spend so many hours in a Dentist's chair you realise that modern Dentistry is a combination of medicine and precision engineering. At one stage, I felt that the new crowns were fitted perfectly, but then he took a digital photo and showed me a gap between my upper and lower front teeth. It was probably less than 0.5 millimetres, but Dr Vitou is clearly a perfectionist and fixed the problem. Another problem I have is that with upper inlay trays, I gag when the tray is pressed against the roof of my mouth. Dr Vitou modified an inlay tray so that it did not cause me to gag. I think it's fair to say that they take a pride in solving problems like these.For friendliness, professionalism and cost, I would award them the maximum marks. The total cost was just under €2000, and if I had had the treatment carried out in Ireland, it would have been €12-14,000. My advice if you live in Ireland and need to spend a lot of money on dentists bills, is to book a holiday to Cambodia and visit Dr Phyrom's clinic instead. With the money you save, you will be able to afford another two holidays!John

Implant Dentist Consultation

My tooths were in very bad condition because I afraid very much of pain. It is very difficult to hold tooths in Finland and very expensive, so I didn't have hope of good tooth anymore. I asked 3 dental clinics in Phnom Penh about price and got answer from this clinic only. First time in my life I was interesting of coming to dental clinic every day, no pain at all, great work from begin to end, very friendly personal. Before this I didn't know I can have so great service here in Cambodia. Doctors and all personal are very professional. Thank you very-very much for I can smile again, will remember you forever, every day.
