After trying numerous times to lose weight, decided to take the plunge with the surgery. Dr Ravi was recommended by a work colleague - and going with Dr Ravi is a decision I will not regret. He explained the procedure and the changes I would need to make to ensure success and he was clear, if I couldn't make the changes this may not be the way forward. Dr Ravi keeps it clear, tells you what you need to know and with his team makes sure that everything is in place to help you succeed. Trouble free surgery, no complications afterwards and a drop from 118kg to 88kg in 3 months - I couldnt be happier. Thanks Dr Ravi and all your team.

After getting out of a toxic marriage I looked at myself in the mirror and wondered how I could let myself get so big. Not being able to chase my son around at the park was one of the most depressing things I have ever experienced. Furthermore, as my son is disabled and will require life-long care I must ensure that I am around as long as possible to take care of him. After many failed attempts at dieting and a diagnosis of PCOS (which made things seem even more impossible), I decided I needed help. I had the sleeve done with Dr Rao and am thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I rang his office to book my first appointment, I felt at ease. Dr Rao has to be the kindest and humble surgeon I have ever met, and his bedside manner is impeccable. I picked him initially because of all the excellent reviews I saw. As well as his impressive education background and after my experience, I agree that he is clearly an expert in this field. His facebook support group is also a fantastic perk and has been invaluable to me during my recovery phase. I feel privileged to have had him as my surgeon and am forever grateful for my new life.

I am happy I went with Dr Rao, he is friendly, polite and very informative. My first contact was via an email late on a Friday night in which he responded to in less than 24 hours. He made me feel relaxed and spent nearly 2 hours discussing the surgery on my first visit. Had my op done on 21.11.14 and doing well with no issues or complications. I also found the dietician he recommends friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr Ravi Rao to anyone. The price was what I was quoted and seemed a standard price no matter where you go. The variables/extras are blood tests, swallow test, anaesthetics and any other tests your doctor sees necessary etc. Great doctor that is easy to talk to and that makes you feel comfortable discussing your concerns and thoughts.

Barely any after pain and incisions healed very well. Dr Rao took the time to put me at ease, I had seen another surgeon and wasn't sure. Suchi was great, very helpful. Dr Rao and his team are invested in the patients, they aren't about squeezing as many people into the day as possible, they are there to support each patient through the journey.

i booked my gastric sleeve in through dr Ravi rao and was amazed at how thorough the pre op was. He treated me like a person and made it clear we were a team and I wasn't just a statistic. He answered all my questions with no hesitations. Post op ive had no complications and 2 weeks post op my scars are bearly visible. This has been the best decision of my life and I cannot thank Ravi enough Suchi (receptionist) and Ravi (surgeon) are fantastic. Always happy to help if I need assistance and are very thorough.
