I started gaining weight after my second pregnancy and just couldn't loose it. I became depressed and started using medication. I would lose weight on fad diets, only to regain it even more. I had to do something. Eventually I had a Gastric Sleeve done at the Empowered Weight Loss Clinic. After a year and half the team still calls me to do follow ups!. I feel like they really care and want to make sure that I succeed. They treat me like I am part of their family. Evelyn is a sweetheart, and Rowena the dietician is always available on email. I am so glad I met the surgeons here. They changed my life! Its been a great experience.

Dr. Kashif Irshad performed my gastric sleeve surgery. Prior to my surgery, he was informative and willingly answered my many questions. He even, after one of his long days at the hospital, returned my call to answer my follow up questions. I would give him a 10-star rating both for his obvious skills but also his caring manner. One thing I would like to mention. The staff at the Empowered Weight Loss Clinic, Suite #303, were fine to deal with. However, you may also have to deal with a woman - down the hall in Dr. Irshad's thoracic practice - who books his surgeries. I wish I had gotten her name but be forewarned. She is one of the rudest, most dismissive people I have ever come across in any professional setting. First-rate. If you're thinking of getting a gastric sleeve, look no further than Dr. Kashif Irshad.

I had the sleeve gastrectomy 3 months ago. It was scary at first, but the surgeons really put me at ease. Real professionals. The surgical clinic was amazing, better than a big hospital where you are just a number. I had my own personal nurse who called me a week after to check up on me. My incisions healed well. I am shocked at how they managed to get my stomach out through such a small cut. I have lost over 50 pounds. This weekend I went to a BBQ and everyone was shoving down on Chicken wings. I had two and I was satisfied, I didn't feel deprived at all. My night time cravings are gone forever! I have no regrets. The only one is that I wished I had done this earlier when I was single and available! The clinic was amazing. They care for their patients and it is worth every penny.

I had a sleeve gastrectomy 6 months ago. The surgery went really smoothly and I have lost about 60 pounds...and am still losing 1-2 pounds per week. I am ecstatic and have never felt better. Overall a great experience.....and I am exited to finally have confidence in myself. I met both surgeons at the clinic before. They were really helpful.They didn't try and push me to do anything...they just explained all the options and let me decide.....I made the right decision!
