I was worried about my health getting older and being unable to lose weight as easily as I used to so I chose Dr Hatem for gastric sleeve surgery based on his credentials and positive reviews. I travelled from New Zealand to Cairo and was met by his friendly driver at the airport. I was driven directly to the hospital to meet the Dr, then I underwent a series of tests (ultrasound, blood, ECG). I had my surgery the next morning and was well cared for afterwards by the hospital staff until my discharge three days later. I would recommend it to anyone who feels they need bariatric surgery. I had an excellent experience with Dr Hatem and his team. My thanks to Dr Hatem and his team and the hospital staff for their care.

I flew to Egypt alone for gastric sleeve surgery. I was incredibly nervous and anxious, travelling alone, to undergo surgery in a country I’d never even visited before. Dr Hatem was amazing. Professional, knowledgable but above all incredibly friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. He put me at ease, answered my questions day and night, and dealt with minor issues very promptly. I would recommend Dr Hatem. Additionally, the nurses and doctors at El Merghany Hospital, where the procedure was carried out were also very friendly.

Dr Hatem was a wonderful doctor. He treated me well, very kind, professional. He did a fantastic job on me, I lost more than half of my weight and I am happy with the outcome. I came from the UK all the way to Egypt to this the operation with Dr Hatem, and I would recommend anyone to do the same if they have a problem with their weight.

I had bariatric surgery in Lebanon, It didn’t work, then I gained more weight.I searched online and I contacted Dr Hatem AlGohary, I had the operation, he advised me to have it done. It worked very very well. I stayed at Dar Al Shifa hospital for 3 nights. Thanks a lot, Dr Hetem.

Dr El-Gohary is an amazing bariatric surgeon. I travelled from London to Cairo for my gastric sleeve surgery and from the first day of communication, I felt at ease knowing that Dr Hatem was going to be the perfect surgeon for me. His team looked after me very well preop and post-op. I felt comfortable and at ease in his care. He’s highly recommended by me. Words can’t express how grateful I am for my experience with Dr Hatem Elgohary and his team. I few alone from London to Cairo in November of this year for gastric sleeve surgery. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I landed. Arriving at the hospital I felt a little nervous but everyone was so caring and understanding helping to put my nerves at ease. Dr Hatem Elgohary took the time to listen and communicate well with me before and during my stay, and has since followed up with me on my return to the uk. Nothing was too much to ask and everyone was so accommodating. I couldn’t recommend this service more highly. Thank you again 😊
