ABOUT DR. AMAR

He is the first surgeon from twin states (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh) to successfully complete two year National Board Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery - FNB (Minimal Access Surgery). To achieve this super speciality degree, he received structured training in laparoscopic, metabolic and bariatric surgeries.

He is a member of Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India – OSSI, International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders - IFSO and a fellow of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India – FMAS.

He studied MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Kurnool Medical College. He is also a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - MRCSEd since 2005. He is a Diplomate of National Board since 2006.

He has keen interest in medical research and published several articles in national and international journals. He is an invited faculty for several national and international conferences and presented several papers in these conferences.

He regularly conducts continuing medical education programs for doctors, awareness programs and support group programs to educate general public about metabolic, bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
