For years and years ive struggled with weight loss... i had to do something that will give me a strong result. I investigated all the diffrent weightloss methods, and after 6 months ive finally made the decision. I was following alot of doctors on instragram, spoke to alot but doctor Gurdal Oren and his team was the the one i had my eyes on :) After research, speaking to his patients and gathering feedback, i pushed the button and set my date... To add to that, This isnt the easy option its your final decision, no one will understand how obesity can destroy you unless they are going through it themself! Going to Turkey for a life changing step would be petrifying for anyone but a few days before my operation we went watched the footie match, done our shopping, did our site seeing (was a huge stress lifter) then finally took a step in the hospital my heart pounded from excitement.. Then before i knew it i was packing my bags to head back home... If you are reading my review all i can say is from A to Z the team has been a beauty and im so proud of being Gurdal Orens patient! I have NO REGRETS and i am sooo happy with my decision... 2018 has been my year, years and years of promises to lose weight and be a healthier person is becoming true i am 7 weeks pre op and with no regrets I can say I HAVE MADE THE BEST DECISION... If you are considering this operation, listen to you heart no one else, decide what is best for you and act upon it... All the best, to a better and healthier future... Kill obesity internally and externally x It was beautiful, we had our own room... our tv, my hubby was with me all the way through... it was clean... Despite my needle phobia the nursers was so gentle :) had so much fun, it felt like i was with my family and i am so proud of myself i stood by my decision x

I opted for VSG and I glad of the decision I made. From start to finish Dr Oren and his team looked after me well. I had a fantastic recovery and was walking around 20 minutes after surgery. I cannot rate him highly enough, I have zero regrets! Post op advice and support was also excellent, feel I could reach out anytime for dietary advice etc. I had my surgery done at Derindere Hospital and it was immaculate! I was a domestic manager for the NHS and wish my hospital was as clean.

I had a gastric sleeve on 26th February 2018.Everything was fine, before the operation I talked to Dr. Gündal and he did answering all my question that I had. I had no pain after the operation and I stayed 4 days in the hospital. Dr. Gündal did visit me every morning for the checkup. If someone would ask me if I would do this operation again, I would say yes of course.Thank you for the good treatment. The doctor and his co-workers are very nice and open mind. Also, the nurses are very nice and smiling the whole day. Hospital is very clean.

Two months ago I had my gastric sleeve done and already I’ve lost 21 kgs. Definitely got the desired results. Everything took about an hour to complete. On the first night, there was some post-op pain, but by the following evening it was gone. I did have aftercare sessions, I’m on a WhatsApp group with both my doctor and nutritionist. I chose this clinic because I’d read about them and thought the price was fair. The practice was clean and the helpful staff made my visit a pleasure. They looked after me very well. From the way it was run, through to the results and service, it’s been an excellent experience.

The surgeon and the other doctor at the clinic were outstanding in every way. Professionally competent, accommodating and submitted trust. The operation went very well and the follow-up of the clinic's doctors and surgeons was also very good. However, I wish the nurses in the department had better English skills. I highly recommend the clinic.

I decided to have the gastric sleeve after years of battling with weight. Initially, l was going to have the operation at home, but the prices put me off, that's when l started researching about surgeons abroad. I must say from the moment l spoke to Murat l knew l was going to go with them. I had inquired with several other clinics in Turkey but when l had deep questions they never seemed to answer me to my desire. From day one, Murat was so helpful and didn't seem forceful for me to book the procedure with them. He was very efficient at providing information and was quite honest with me which l appreciated. Fast forward day of operation, l was very nervous but still felt calm in myself because l believed I was in safe hands. I just had instincts my op would be a success and that it was. I got to the hospital and had several tests then got the all clear for surgery. I met Dr Gurdal who's very friendly and caring, in fact, the whole team was. Felt cared for and looked after. There's one nurse in particular that really looked after me during the 4 days l was there. She was working in the day and though there was a communication barrier, she still did her best to do her job and look after me.The only downside was communication with the nurses, you need to use the Google translator as most speak zero English. It kind of made it difficult at times, but nothing was ever not solved. Would highly recommend Dr Gurdal and his team if you're looking for surgery abroad. They do a good job and I'm healing well. Excited for my journey ahead. The clinic was very nice and clean. We had our own private room and also had free wifi which was fab!

I had my surgery with the team in July 2020. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest experiences ever! The whole team are really lovely and helpful and are always there whenever you need something. I was really scared before going however the minute I met the team I knew I was in safe hands. I struggled with my weight for years and I now know I am going to have a great lifestyle thanks to their team. I recommend Dr Gurdal Oren and his team to anybody considering this operation.

I had my gastric sleeve done last year may 2019 and started with 90kg. Overall I have lost 34kg and could not be happier. Op Dr Gurdal Oren and his team are incredible and really made my experience unforgettable. They were always in contact with me from the time I scheduled my operation up until I arrived. Even till this day, I am in contact with them as we have all become one family. They are always there to help with any question or concern you have and will never leave you alone before the process, during or after. I have gained all my confidence back and so glad that I went for the surgery and chose Op Dr Gurdal Oren as my experience would have not been the same without him!

I was sleeved on the 18 Sept'18 and I'm almost 7 weeks post-op. I just want everyone to know that this is one of the best decisions I've ever made and I got so so lucky to have found Dr Gurdal and his team. I was in talks with a Clinic in Prague and was looking to have WLS there, I was going to finalise everything when a friend told me 'Have you ever considered Turkey' honestly it had not crossed my mind. My friend said that they have the best results for WLS (Weight Loss Surgery). So I started googling and found WhatClinic, Dr Gurdal had one of the highest ratings so I decided to go through all the given feedback.I was amazed at the positive response and made up my mind that this might be it so I requested a quote on 7 Aug'18. Immediately got an email and WhatsApp from Murat to say they had received my query and he quoted the package price and what was included. It looked too good to be true but I decided to look into it further. Within a week my mind was made and I was off to Turkey for this surgery. If you think about it you're going in blind and it's a big risk but this is one risk I do not regret.So I booked my flight and was scheduled for surgery on 18/09/18. Murat was in constant contact with me. I had soo many questions but all were answered promptly. There's one thing I should mention. I am a type 2 diabetic so I was going to be put up in Kadikoy Hastanemiz which is a dedicated hospital for diabetics and trust me when I tell you that they are the best. I was taken off my diabetes meds when I checked in and every hour I would be checked and monitored, amazing nurses and doctors. My highlights: Dr Gurdal Oren is amazing, such a lovely person and a brilliant doctor. He definitely knew what he was doing. I would always look forward to when he would do his rounds, especially as he was one of the few people that spoke English. With Dr Gurdal you know you are in the safest hands. The Hospital was immaculately clean and the nurses were so kind, they did their best to bring comfort. A very special mention to Murat, without him I do not think I would have embarked on this journey. He is so knowledgeable, available when you need him and his English is fantastic so he dealt with most of the communication issues. Our Dietician, Neslihan was lovely, I felt like she was more of a friend by the end of it. She will ensure you know about your diet and aftercare. She set up a WhatsApp group for surgery buddies so we can share our experiences and seek advice. My Lows: There is definitely a language barrier but it can be tackled very easily, google translate is your best friend out there. Use it. The only thing I wish I had was an interpreter just to get me through the first 48hrs.My overall experience was excellent, I would recommend Dr Gurdal and his team to anyone considering the sleeve or any WLS. They are fantastic! If I was to consider any other surgery they would be my first choice without a doubt.I would also like to mention that their prices are very reasonable compared to other places, I know this because I spent a year doing research on WLS.If I was to go back to beautiful Turkey, I will be visiting the hospital to meet Dr Gurdal, Murat, Neslihan and their wonderful team. My experience at Kadikoy Hastanemiz was very good. It is a dedicated hospital for diabetics and it is a fairly new hospital with the latest equipment and some of the best doctors. I am the kind of person that does not like hospitals, I stay well away from them but this one was different. It was more like a modern clinic just very clean. The area itself is surprisingly nice.If you are worried about going alone for the surgery, you shouldn't be as the nurses and staff are so kind and always come in to see you. I was alone but never felt that I needed someone there. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to do surgery in Turkey.
