Gastric Sleeve

I had the gastric sleeve operation and this clinic was recommended by some friends who have used this clinic. They are now 2 and 1 year post op and they rated it a 5 star service. The service was amazing from start to finish. The communication on what's app was fantastic with Faith Ozturk . You get the same driver throughout and he was so happy and helpful. The hospital was spotless and every member of staff gave you such a high standard of care. The hotel we stayed at was beautiful. My mum came with me and she was given breakfast, lunch and dinner each day which she said tasted lovely. She stayed with me at the hospital and was given her own bed. You are given all your medication to take home with you and a specific diet plan which is very through. The communication continues when you get home and they are always there to help. I'm so glad that I chose to have this done and all the members of the team evolved have made this a great experience.Just all round brilliant . I would 100% recommend them.

Gastric Sleeve

I can't recommend the team enough. So far there are 5 members of my family that have travelled and had Gastric Sleeve surgery and an additional 9 friends. No issues between any of us. Hospital is spotless, pick-up service is top-notch, and after-care is great. The surgery was very reasonably priced and cheaper than other clinics we looked at, this did not make the service any less though, it was a* treatment. Highly recommended. Faith was very easy to interact with, always answered any queries straight away, and was on hand to help at the drop of a hat - again, great service

Gastric Sleeve

After searching for different clinics I got in contact with Istanbul Obesity Academy. This is an all-inclusive package, private taxi transfers from and to the airport, to the hospital for tests, and includes hotel stay. You pay the hospital on the day you are transferred, the hospital asks for cash, this is normal do not worry, everything went to plan. The Hospital is easy to contact, I spoke on Whatsapp before and after. Fatih Ozturk who I spoke to - International Patients Coordinator is absolutely amazing, answered my many many questions before, and even if I had questions when I Turkey Fatih was always available no matter what time of day! All the staff at the hospital are amazing, from the consultant, doctors, theatre, cleaners, and the lovely guys who bring the food each day. Everything is catered for, even my brother was bought food when I was in the hospital! The hospital is modern, clean and my room was amazing. The nursing staff was absolutely amazing! So kind and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. I am so thankful for the lovely lady who got me out of bed after my operation, I am so sorry I did not get your name, however, she wore a headscarf, I will never forget her kindness, holding my hand around the hospital on that first walk! I cannot praise every staff member enough who helped me on my journey. The Dietician is also amazing, and speaks very good English, explained everything fully. I wished I'd done this years ago! I would definitely recommend this hospital. I had a gastric sleeve operation. Thanks again to Prof.Dr.Bora Koç and all of his team!

I can not fault the bariatric clinic and Dr Bora Koc at Kolan International Hospital. I flew from England to get a gastric sleeve. The staff were all extremely through and the care was of a far higher standard than anything I have received in England. Fatih Ozturk was a great translator and constant support as I travelled alone. The hospital was spotless and I was given a lovely suit within the clinic. They put me at ease and everything went so smoothly. I can't thank them enough. I can highly recommend them. 5 *

My name is Michelle, I had my I had my surgery on the 14th of February 2022. My coordinator was Fatih and I have to say he was incredible for anything I asked him to do or get for me there was never a hesitation he delivered everything I needed it was a fantastic service and I would highly recommend it to anyone that was thinking of getting a gastric sleeve done in the obesity Academy Istanbul. Fatih was a pure gentleman and extremely professional.

Gastric Sleeve

My husband and I both had sleeves done in September 2020. We had a great experience from start to finish. We were checked from head to toe to make sure we were good to go through with the surgery. I would highly recommend anyone to go here for the sleeve as our experience was great 4 stones of each both very happy and no regrets.

I had a fantastic experience with this clinic. The staff was magical and took care of me constant, so much that I did not want to leave. The rooms are luxurious and the whole clinic is fresh and clean. Dr. Bora is kind and genuine, I felt very calm and comfortable with him.the follow-up has also been good and serious, after a while they want results on my values and also know that I feel good.Highly recommend Dr. Bora and the staff at the clinic! Gastric Bypass

I had a Transit Bipartition Gastric Bypass in November 2022. Transparent and supportive throughout the whole process. 24/7 availability and assistance and no problem or question was too big. Facilities and staff are amazing, with modern, immaculate rooms with caring and well-trained nurses and healthcare professionals. Every second of the experience was planned and ran smoothly. This treatment has probably saved my life in some respect. The impact on my mental well being is the most notably change; the weight loss is obviously changing my pathway and allowing me to change my physical and metabolic forecast for the future. My decision was made after a lengthy period of research and I chose my surgeon first. He has an insightful and progressive attitude to the surgery I needed and his academic research and mindset indicated his competence and expertise. I will never be able to thank my surgeon Dr Bora and his team enough.

Gastric Sleeve

I just went here for my sleeve this week. I can totally recommend it if you are considering this route. Communication from the very start with Fatih was perfect. ( it’s all via Wattsapp but don’t worry about that). Booked my flights, confirmed a date and flew out. My driver met me at 1am but was great. A little daunting the first night checking into a hospital at 2 am when it was so quiet but my driver helped get me settled in. The hospital staff started blood tests and other checks over night. In the morning the Doctor and his team came by. They are all fantastic. Very professional, very calm and made me feel relaxed. Explained what they were about to do and did it. I was asleep in a second and knew nothing till they woke me after surgery. Nurses looked after me really well. Doctor and his team came next day to see me. I was absolutely fine. No pain ( slight discomfort from the gas) I met the nutritionist who gave me information and advice.The next day I was ready in myself to leave. My driver came back, took me to the hotel which was excellent then picked me up the following day to go the airport. He had all the medication I needed in his car for me. I paid one fixed price, paid in cash and everything was great, it really was! I’m home now, feel great. Looking forward to my new life. It’s going to be a bit stressful where ever you go but it’s fine ,book this clinic with total confidence. I spoke to several people that went who told me what I’m now saying. These guys are great.. you will be safe and happy. Good luck to you all.

Revisional Bariatric Surgery

Travelled out from the U.K. in Nov 2020 for a gastric bypass revision (original RNY bypass 15 years ago). Please be mindful that revisions are always more expensive than original bypass due to complexity of the surgery. Excellent service from the minute they pick you up at the airport to the minute they drop you back at the airport. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely hotel, fantastic hospital clinic, thorough amount of tests prior to surgery. I am a registered nurse and was extremely impressed at the level of care given throughout the stay. The whole team are extremely friendly and the Surgeon is amazing. I would highly recommend and great value for money. (A third of the price in the U.K. and I can honestly say hospital care was far superior to the U.K.)
