I had a VSG surgery with Dr Baha and I can tell you that he is one of a kind. Dr Baha is a very professional Dr, very sensitive and caring. He is actually the best Dr I have ever met in my life. I came all the way from London UK to Turkey to get the surgery done by him after doing a personal research on good bariatric Doctors in Turkey. With Dr Baha anyone is safe and in good hands his medical experience is first hand and he's very sensitive and attentive to his patients and he pays attention to details. I had gastric sleeve with Dr. Osman Uyar this week. Melih, my translator and representative picked me up at the airport personally. He took great care of me throughout the week and made sure I was always receiving what I needed and was comfortable. My surgery was well explained and went without issue.Aftercare was 24/7. Nurses don't speak much English but are well trained and very friendly. Google translate made communication easy.My private suite was spacious, two rooms, with own bathroom/toilet. I always had privacy. It was cleaned everyday as well, including bedding changes.Upon returning home, I received everything needed for my post op liquid diet as well as vitamins and some medications. In the beginning I was very nervous about traveling alone from the Netherlands for surgery but Mel, and the staff of Grandmedical put me at ease. First class experience all the way. From the moment I enquired to the airport pick up, to the hospital/surgery and aftercare everything was 5 stars. I had a gastric sleeve op. on the 1st november '22. Was well informed by staff and had a videocall with Dr. Gungor Gul, for I was a bit nervous before leaving for Istanbul Turkey. For years and years ive struggled with weight loss... i had to do something that will give me a strong result. I investigated all the diffrent weightloss methods, and after 6 months ive finally made the decision. I was following alot of doctors on instragram, spoke to alot but doctor Gurdal Oren and his team was the the one i had my eyes on :) After research, speaking to his patients and gathering feedback, i pushed the button and set my date... To add to that, This isnt the easy option its your final decision, no one will understand how obesity can destroy you unless they are going through it themself! Going to Turkey for a life changing step would be petrifying for anyone but a few days before my operation we went watched the footie match, done our shopping, did our site seeing (was a huge stress lifter) then finally took a step in the hospital my heart pounded from excitement.. Then before i knew it i was packing my bags to head back home... If you are reading my review all i can say is from A to Z the team has been a beauty and im so proud of being Gurdal Orens patient! I was a very unhealthy, unhappy man weighing 149.23 kg. At 46 years old I had my first heart attack. At 48 years old I was diagnosed with angina. My weight was killing me. In September 2022 the NHS turned me down for Surgery for the 4th time. I knew someone local who had been to Turkey and lost a huge amount of weight so I went to see him and I got the contact details. I sent a message via instagram to Dr Metin Karadeniz and Sezen, his co-ordinator got straight back to me via WhatsApp. She answered all my questions without hesitation, checking details with doctors about my heart issues and medication. We agreed to schedule surgery for the following week. I booked the flights and 5 days later they picked me up from Izmir airport. I was taken to a decent hotel for the first night and then they took me to the hospital the next morning. Sezen met me there and took me to see all the different doctors for every test you can imagine. Heart, lungs, x-ray, ultrasound, mental health: everything was checked. I felt well cared for and the level of professionalism was excellent. I met Dr Metin Karadeniz before the operation and we had a chat. I felt completely at ease. I went down early afternoon and woke up back in my private hospital room. I was walking a few hours later with very minimal pain. The staff came and checked on me regularly and gave me IV fluids. I spent the next three days in hospital, walking and following their post operative regime. When Dr Metin discharged me I went back to the hotel for a few days, enjoying walking around Ismir. I went for a checkup at his clinic with him and the nutritionist before returning home to England. It has now been 10 weeks since surgery and I have lost 30.39kg! I feel so much healthier, I no longer have sleep apnea, my cholesterol has come down from 6.7 to 3.5, my HbA1c is down to 33. My BMI was 46.94 and is now 35.8. I was a 48” waist and I’m now a 40”.This has been the best gift I have ever given myself. It has saved my life. If you are big/unhappy/struggling……. Don’t hesitate. I had gastric sleeve surgery at Clinic Center and it was beyond my expectations. I had a wonderful experience! A lot more than I was expecting! First I was afraid but after the surgery, I had no pain at all. The clinic staff was very careful and the doctor was amazing. All transfers and the hotel services were great as well.
