I had a gastric band fited on 22/8/2015 at the Leicester Hospital. From the first consultation I knew I was in safe hands. I have lost 3 stone in 12 weeks and it still coming off. The band however is only part of the weight loss programme, a sensible diet of small frequent meals properly chewed and enjoyed cannot be empasised enough. I spent one night in hospital and my partner stayed with me and was treated with courtesy. I have only needed one fill since the band was fitted and possibly may not need any more. The need for a fill is assessed on arrival, is quick and pain free. The bonus is the London clinic is at the back of the John Lewis store on Oxford street! The hospital is spotlessly clean. The staff are efficient and friendly and respond to need in a timely manner. Frequent telephone calls post surgery are maintained as needed and were reassuring. The calls reduced my stress levels and enhanced the recovery period. I was back to work after 2 weeks on light duties for a week. This hospital was recommended to me by a friend`s friend and I would not hesitate to recommend Chris Sutton and his team. read more
