I chose this clinic for my gastric band surgery. So far I’ve lost 4 stone and am quite happy. I’m a nurse myself and know firsthand how expensive these procedures are, but this was one of the cheapest options. It also happened to be one of the better clinics I could find. Travel time to get there was two and a half hours. There was a bit of pain afterwards, but it was manageable. I was given medication and everything’s fine now. I had five aftercare sessions but missed the last one because I felt it was unnecessary. The surgery is doing its job as I can’t eat certain foods now. I’ll be heading back in September, but they’re available at any time should I need them. The procedure was over in half an hour and I returned home the same day. Went back to work four days later. I’ll give them a ⅘ because of the price.
Prof Siba Senapati & his team have been amazing from the beginning. I decided weight loss surgery was my only option after many years of failed diets. I had gastric bypass surgery 10/04/2019 and it was the best decision for me it has been life-changing my confidence and self-esteem has been at an all-time high and I'm feeling much fitter and healthier too. I'm enjoying life with my husband and children nothing is holding me back I am 10months post-surgery and already reached my goal weight my journey hasn't been easy it takes hard work and a lot of changes the surgery is only a tool to help you but it's you who has to use it in the best way to achieve great results Its made me the happiest I have ever been but I'm very grateful to Prof Siba Senapati & his team who have been excellent they helped me through this life-changing surgery and the aftercare has been amazing highly recommend I'm grateful for their support and care can't thank them enough my life now is much happier and healthier.
Hi Jenna We appreciate you doing the review and are very glad you are doing so well. Many thanks. Obesity Surgery Manchester
I had a gastric band done by Prof. Senapati at the Alexandra Hospital in Manchester. What can I say excellent service, excellent follow-up and the band is doing what it's meant to do. Weight loss is not instant it is slow and steady. Finding out what food suits, what doesn't is a learning curve only and that is very individual. Dietician and other nurses were extremely helpful. Had a 3ml refill if you don't like needles don't watch. But it didn't hurt just like a blood test.If you're going to choose a clinic, this one I would recommend. The clinic was brilliant, made appointments to suit my needs as I live 2hours away. Everyone is very polite and courteous. No hidden costs would recommend.
Dear Ms Prosser, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback, this is greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards Professor Senapati
I can not recommend Prof. Senapati enough. He is really something else! I had a gastric sleeve after two family members had with the professor and have both lost between 5-10 stone within a year. He made me feel really comfortable and his team are so down to earth and caring. The whole staff team from every point of the surgery were excellent and took very good care of me. I was actually quite sad I wouldn’t see any of them again. Nothing you ask for is too much. The hospital at Alexandra is spotless and the rooms are so comfortable and relaxing my husband even fell asleep during my operation. My surgery went so smoothly I was allowed home the following day. I suffered no pain following surgery except for wind pains which the nurses helped with pain relief during the night and I was up walking about the next day. I have now lost 2.2 stone in one month. My skin is also bouncing back which I was concerned about but relieved. My incisions are tiny and won’t leave any traces if any. My asthma has settled and I was able to stretch sciatica pain out of my back which has now gone. Joint pains and breathing troubles have gone and for the first time for a long time, I am able to run around and play with my children. If you are considering a gastric sleeve and want an expert and professional please go to the professor. You want this done right. This post really doesn’t do the professor and his team enough justice, after all, he isn’t named as the leading bariatric surgeon for nothing and I really can’t thank you all enough for giving me the tool to have this new life. I am now looking at bikinis to buy for my holiday next year as I am so confident in the surgery. My advice would be don’t put it off or worry about what else the money could be spent on. Life is irreplaceable and priceless so just go for it. Best money I’ve ever spent!
Mr. Senapati performed my gastric band surgery in September 2017. The initial consultation was very informative and contact with his secretary to schedule the date for my surgery was an easy and pleasant experience. I did extensive research on several surgeons before choosing Mr. Sinapati and I was glad I did. The operation went brilliantly and he did a fantastic job; my scarring is very minimal compared to others I've seen. I am 5 months post surgery and I've lost close to 3 stone. From 16st 10 down to 13st 12. It was the best decision I ever made. I'm now on the brink of just being clinically overweight, not obese. My health has improved dramatically, both physically and mentally thanks to Mr. Senapati and the team of Bariatric nurses at The Alexandra Hospital.
Dear Ms Currie, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback, this is greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards Professor Senapati
Went for consultation, which gave good and concise information, however the price required was out of my range.
