Top surgeon, extremely knowledgeable, straight talking and honest, you can put all your trust in this man knowing he’s going to operate at the highest standard possible. I would 100% recommend to anyone considering surgery.The hospital is clean and the staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble. After surgery I was made comfortable and once at home I was checked on via calls, further appointments at the hospital after a week too. I’m extremely happy.

Mr A is the best in bariatrics, he is open, honest, extremely professional and has only your interests. Having had my surgery only 10 days ago and feeling so well I couldnt be happier. Pre and post op Mr A checked on me and is easily accessible with questions. Care is fantastic. Spire London east staff were also extremely caring, regularly monitored me and couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. I turned to Mr A for a gastric sleeve after years of Yoyo dieting and fad diets. He discusses all options of WLS with you so you can make a fully informed decision

Gastric Sleeve

Writing this review about Mr A and his expertise has been one of the greatest honours to date. I went to see Mr A this year due to struggling with my weight for many years due to PCOs and hormonal issues and have seen that gastric sleeve surgery has a great success rate for it. During my consultation, I was informed about the different gastric surgeries available and informed about the risks and complications with each one. Nevertheless, I quickly knew that going to Mr A I would be in the best hands and decided to proceed with booking in for a couple of weeks after. Now, due to the extreme heatwave and already feeling quite swollen I was able to change my appointment to a later date with no issues. I saw Mr A one more time to sign my consent forms prior to my surgery and he answered any questions with his great knowledge. As I am writing this feedback one week post op, I also want to mentioned what a smooth process my surgery was with no complications apart from being greatly concerned that I have NO pains, aches, discomfort since my surgery date. Even upon discharge, I have had NO issues at home and have been able to return to work 1 week later which a great big smile on my face. Mr A, thank you to you and your team for changing my life and being able to perform these high risk surgeries with no issues.

I had gastric sleeve surgery at The Rivers hospital by Mr Agrawal. From the first consultation Mr A not only advised me of the benefits of the surgery but also to consider what I was about to undertake very seriously. From the moment I said I would go ahead with surgery the staff were amazing, you are looked after from day 1. The aftercare has been amazing. I chose the Rivers because it was my nearest hospital and that it had great reviews. Definitely well worth the money, my life has been transformed all thanks to Mr A.

Gastric Sleeve

I chose to have gastric sleeve surgery due to being overweight, and having tried many ways through dieting to lose the weight. I met with a friend who had previously had a gastric sleeve operation with Mr a, and she looked amazing and spoke very highly of him. I carried out lots of research into different consultants and found him to be the best, and chose to travel 85 miles to the rivers hospital to have my operation, carried out by Mr A. The levels of care and support I have received from start to finish from both Mr A and the staff at the Rivers Hospital have been amazing. I would highly recommend Mr A, and would not hesitate to visit him again if any further surgery is required.

Bariatric Surgery Consultation

It took me 2 years to make the decision to have bariatric surgery. During which time I saved and did some research. The result was that I knew I had to select not just a good surgeon but a good support system to ensure success. When I picked Mr. Agrawal I got 2 appointments pre-surgery to discuss, what, why, when. This included talking about the general risks and downsides of bariatric surgery to ensure I wasn't going in with rose-tinted glasses. Plus several appts post-surgery to check on progress. I currently have 1 more appointment to go which will be in month 9 post-op. I had a nutritionist was appointed to me, an online support group of Mr. A's bariatric patients who share tips, tricks & traps to help each other through the process and beyond.I also received a monthly online meeting for Q&A's or sometimes special guests which so far have included as a psychologist 1 month and a pharmacist another month. Letters were sent to my local GP throughout the process, to ensure they were up to date. Plus the care at the hospital was professional, prompt, and caring. The anaesthetist spent time listening to my medical history & adapted what he did to ensure it worked for me. 1 nurse looped arms with me as I went down for surgery because she could see I was nervous. Another checked beforehand if I had ever had a particular procedure before and talked me through it beforehand, plus she was so gentle. So yes I can recommend them with Mr. Agrawal via the Harley Street Obesity Clinic.

Gastric Sleeve

I had been considering the Gastric Sleeve for over a year or so. I done a lot of research into this procedure and surgeons and then came across Mr S Agrawal.I wanted this procedure at the Rivers Hospital as it was local but then a cancellation came up at the Spires Ilford for 2 weeks ahead! (22nd May 21). I was very scared but knew for my health this had to be done. I am 52 and had a BMI of over 40 and after giving birth to my children had carried excessive weight spent over 30 years on every diet etc.I could lose the weight but never keep it off. From the 1st day at this hospital, I felt very safe. The whole experience was brilliant. Mr A and his staff made me feel very welcome and very cared for. During my stay at the hospital, everyone were very caring and made me feel at ease. I met 2 other ladies on the same day and the support was great. I struggled for a few weeks after and Liz the dietician was very supportive.I would highly recommend Mr S Agrawal and his team. The only negative at this hospital is that I only had a 1 year package afterwards whereas at the Rivers Hospital, you get a 2 years package. I didn't realise this.I am nearly 2 years Post Op now and my journey has been great. I have lost just over 7 stone and so far have kept it off. My body plays with about 4lb up and down. It's the best thing I have done and once again would highly recommend Mr S Agrawal and his team.
