After many years of training and working in London at some of the top salons, Furheen wanted to take a different approach to hairdressing. She felt it was hard to offer the level of care and service to her clients that she wanted to, whilst working in a fast-paced environment which focused heavily on sales. So, she took the brave decision to follow her dream and set up her own salon.

A Nottingham girl at heart, Furheen felt she wanted to start this salon and build her hair community in her home-town of Nottingham, so moved home and brought her passion and dream to life by creating Stylish Strands.
