Pontypridd Chiropractic Ltd is located short walking distance of Pontypridd on Hopkinstown Road, out of town. Dr Olwen A. Griffiths works here, specializing in the diagnosis of spinal and extremity complaints having studied at WIOC graduating in 2007. She opened Pontypridd Chiropractic in 2008 and has since been delivering treatment at a competitive price in order to appeal to a wider audience who would benefit from care within only a few days of their first phone call.

Appointments are scheduled on a demand basis so the clinic has no set times. The Chiropractor offers emergency appointments to fit around the patient's timetable. Telephone care service is also available. Parking available opposite the clinic but iOS not owned by the establishment. Car owners park at their own risk. Prices are competitive with other clinics in the area. For patients who are examined and shown to have no complicating factors, treatment is incorporated into their initial examination session.

The clinic does not ask for bank details and does not enforce block bookings/ prepayment for treatment.

Olwen was recommended to me as I was suffering from trauma to my neck. The pain was unbearable and was travelling down my arm, I was left unable to exercise or walk for any period of time. Before my appointment, I received a lengthy message detaining her strict coronavirus procedures. I welcomed this as I knew she was looking out for everyone's wellbeing. In fact, she still sends these before every appointment, and she sticks to them :-)The treatment and advice I have received have been amazing, in a short space of time I am now almost back to my normal exercise/walking regime. I continue to attend the clinic and will do for the foreseeable even if only for maintenance appointments.This lady is a godsend! Thank you, Olwen :-)

I cannot put into words how brilliant Dr. Olwen A. Griffiths has been with me! My injury was a result of celebrating, I jumped up in amaze to find I had overextended the joints in my neck, resulting in trapped nerves ranging through my neck, down my spinal cord and through my left arm, along with severe swelling. My left arm became extremely weak and I needed professional attention.After my very first session, which included consultation and treatment, my range of mobility increased dramatically. 5 sessions later and I've NEVER felt better! Olwen is extremely professional in her work and I could not recommend such a brilliant practice more! 5 STARS!

The pain has completely disappeared.I approached Olwen with a very painful right shoulder and arm. The pain was travelling all the way down my inner and outer arm to my wrist, I couldn't lift anything at all and it was also stopping me from sleeping at night. My GP said it was a trapped nerve and that it would get better over time and to take painkillers until it did. I tried this for six weeks and was no better. Olwen was recommended to me and I'm so glad that I went to see her. Within three treatments, my shoulder and arm were far less painful. Each appointment involved only a few minutes of adjustment and now, after just eight sessions, I am completely pain-free and have a full range of movement. I can't recommend this service highly enough.

As a Nurse Practitioner in a busy hospital, falling downstairs and damaging my back wasn't the best career move to make. This, coupled with increasing pain and limited movement led me to Olwyn. I was initially impressed with her web page which was professional, honest and informative as well as the strict Covid 19 rules. On meeting Olwyn, it was transparent from the start that she genuinely wanted to help me and I knew immediately that I was in good hands and could trust her implicitly. The consultation and diagnosis were swift and not only did Olwyn 'release' the pain in my lower back but she found an old injury in my upper back that had been preventing me from taking a deep breath for some time. The relief I felt was immediate.I would not hesitate to recommend Olwyn to anyone and have already decided that if I need a Chiropractor in the future, there is only one person I would trust. About 3 weeks ago whilst driving late at night, I felt a sudden twinge in my neck, which over the following 7 days progressed to intense pain in my neck and right shoulder. Pain killers were having hardly any effect and as I hadn't suffered any trauma to my neck or shoulder, I reasoned that it must be a trapped nerve (very similar to a rampant toothache). I did a search on Google and found my nearest Chiropractor was Olwen Griffiths, Pontypridd Chiropractor in Hopkinstown, so have struggled to complete my weeks work I contacted Olwen and booked an appointment for as early as possible, which luckily was two days later.Olwen put me at ease as soon as I met her, she explained what the problem was and answered all of my questions without the dismissive attitude of many general practitioners, who, assume that because I'm a long-distance truck driver, I couldn't possibly know what was wrong with me and have no right to question a doctor!The treatment I received was neck manipulation which I can only liken to when a person pops their knuckles, there was no discomfort other than what was being caused by the trapped nerve and although my treatment required 5 visits, I could feel the difference even after the first visit and although the pain did come back after two or three days, it was not so intense.Over the course of my 5 visits to Olwen's clinic, I was met with a friendly smile, I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving, she checked how things were progressing and then proceeded with the next course of treatment. Now after my 5th visit I'm going back to work on the 18th, the pain has diminished to the point where I can get a good night's sleep and only need pain killers occasionally. Olwyn advised me to move my neck as much as possible while driving and if there is any regression then to contact her immediately (even on a weekend) and she will get me booked in for another treatment as soon as she possibly can.I couldn't ask for better service than that.How refreshing it was to have someone listen to my problem and then to treat me in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. I highly recommend Pontypridd Chiropractor if you are suffering with neck or back problems. Thank you Olwen.

I contacted Olwen Griffiths at Pontypridd Chiropractor following a fall that left me with acute pain in my lower back and right-leg. I could hardly put my foot to the floor and I needed help to walk. Following an initial consultation and assessment, Olwen explained my injury and the treatments available. I have been attending now for a month and the treatment has been transformational. From my first adjustment, I felt the pain decrease and I have continued to improve week by week. I have always been very active and I feel I have my back once more. I am pain-free!

I first visited Olwen at Pontypridd Chiropractic back in 2013 when I was suffering from a horrible muscle spasm. She saw me the same day as my call and once she had assessed me, she talked me through the treatment plan. I saw Olwen twice a week until I was pain-free. I have a neurological condition which makes me fairly accident prone so Olwen has helped me out with many more injuries since my first visit in 2013. The clinic has a welcoming waiting room with plenty of different seating options to help those in pain. It’s clean and warm and had easy listening music playing in the background. There is a car park opposite the clinic and plenty of space in the side streets if this car park is full.
