Dental Crowns, Root Canals

I heartily recommend Prisma Dental! I was nervous about going out of U.S. for treatment, I didn't know anyone personally who had done that but after a lot of online research. I chose Prisma Dental in San Juan Costa Rica because of their high credentials, high testimonials and their are bilingual (I speak no Spanish). It was 25% of U.S. cost, plus Prisma could (with their onsite lab) use highest materials and turnaround in one week instead of the multiple appts over 6 months in the U.S. Dr. Telma Rubenstien was marvelous! She did my 28 crowns (every single tooth, had severe acid erosion) and a root canal. I became so comfortable with her that believe it or not I actually dozed off during the afternoon drilling, that certainly has never happened to me before! She was very careful to explain everything before and during that was being done very careful to make sure I was comfortable. Without pain (I'm a wimp), very solicitous. I am beyond thrilled with my good judgment in choosing this clinic and doctor! Top notch technology, experience, equipment and professionals. I had consulted with 4 dentists in the U.S. so knew what I needed, Dr. Telma and her staff exceeded what I would have received here in the U.S. I wanted someone who has done hundreds of full-mouth restores and that someone is definitely Dr. Telma Rubenstein. Her husband Dr. Cordera does the implant work, I thankfully didn't need any implants but I've heard he is just as amazing in that area. If you are considering Prisma Dental, go for it, you won't be sorry!

Dr. Josef Cordero and his wife, Dr. Telma Rubinstein, bring nearly half of century of experience to their dental practice. Their daughter, Dr. Nadine Cordero contributes unstoppable energy to the team. They are supported by other dedicated members, including Dr. Coraline Nunes, Dr. Roberto Hernandes and Dr. Alejandro Montero. What truly sets this team apart is their passion for their work, which goes beyond financial motivation. In our opinion, this is one of the best dental family businesses in the world. With modern equipment and dental lab inside what can be done in U.S. for years, in Dr. Cordero's office can be done in days with better quality and around a half of the U.S. crazy prices.My wife and I highly recommend them. Our review is based not only on our own opinion, but also on the options of other patients who we interacted with while getting treatment there for one week in April 2025.

Dentures, Dental Implants

We learned of Prisma Dental through International Living during one of their conferences in Costa Rica. They gave a presentation and I spoke with one of their representatives at their table during the conference. My husband and I both needed dental work. His was going to be extremely expensive in the US, so we took the leap and made an appointment online with Luis at Prisma Dental and traveled back to Costa Rica.My husband was extremely apprehensive and wanted complete sedation, but Dr Nadine Rubinstein was so gentle that she was able to remove 13 tooth roots with just numbing. He had no pain during the procedure or that evening. By the next day they had his very natural looking dentures ready! He will be back in 6 months for implants. I needed bonding on my lower front teeth and a cracked back molar fixed. I, too, was apprehensive, but with a mild sedative, Dr. Carolina Nunez built up the back molar and bonded nine lower teeth - all painlessly. The next day, she permanently cemented the new back molar. One can't even tell I had any work done - each bonding is seamless.From arranging for the appointment with Luis to being incredibly kind when we walked in the front door - topped off with the terrific work they did, it was a great experience - and the cost was a fraction of what we would have paid in the US.

I can't say enough about these folks. On-time, within budget, excellent service and I have the best teeth I could ever ask for!!The cost was very reasonable, the experience was the best it could be and I am so happy with my new teeth, I just can't stop smiling!!!The process was easy, too. Jumped on a plane, and there was a driver waiting for me at the airport (on a Sunday!) who took me to my hotel. Monday I was in the chair, and by Friday I had fantastic teeth. I had lots of time available to explore Costa Rica. All in all, this was a fantastic process, I would recommend Prisma Dental to any one, even my Mom! :)

Mouth Guard

I had only a few days left in Costa Rica but wanted to get a couple of replacement mouth guards. I used the WhatClinic site and found that Prisma Dental had good reviews and was located nearby.They were extremely accommodating and responsive. I was able to get two new mouth guards (ready within the hour!) that exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Prisma Dental

Crowns, bone graft, extractions, implants, fillings, cleaning, root canals I have twice, over the last seven years, had major dental work and oral surgery at Prisma. Both times I have been completely satisfied with the experience. This is a clinic of professionals that can compare with dental clinics anywhere in the world. I recommend Prisma services to friends and family all the time, and without qualification.
