My story starts out a little differently than most. I was scheduled to have a knee replacement, two weeks before my surgery, I had a tooth break, I was told I had to get it fixed before they would reschedule my surgery. After several visits to my local dentist, I was told I needed about $16k worth of work, 2 implants and other fixes to get cleared. I asked about a total reconstruction; I was told it would be upwards of $70k. I have travelled for most of my life and remembered getting inexpensive dental work done overseas so I started researching countries, eventually choosing Costa Rica due to the travel costs and the fact I had never been there. I researched about 20 different specialists, after an exhaustive elimination, I decided on Dr. Urzola. The reasons I chose him were many. First, his accreditations speak for themselves. Second, I spoke to several references about their experiences and also the numerous good reviews. Other things that stood out, he was upfront about every option and did not try to tell me it would all be done in one visit. The lifetime guarantee was a big deal, no one else would offer it. The treatment was the very best, with state-of-the-art equipment, he was able to show me what would need to be done, gave me options to the procedure and explained the process completely so I could make an educated decision on the path I wanted to take. The staff there is amazing, they will answer all of your questions and help in any way they can. I selected to have the sedation as part of my procedure, one of the staff members helped my wife get me back to our hotel and made sure I was ok through the entire process (and they even answered calls after hours). I know some are asking about the cost, the procedure and all the implants (10 of them) was $17k, about 24% of the cost of getting it done in the US. So, after two visits now I have a great new smile (with lots of complements) that I have not had for years, made some new friends (staff and other patients) and along the way got to experience a beautiful country and its people, pura vida.

Dental Implants

I saw Dr. Urzola in April of 2025 (this year as I type). I can not say enough good things about him or his team or the level of organisation and care received. They have the perfect set-up for patients travelling to see them. Our time there, went off without a hitch. As for the actual dental care, Dr. Urzola was very careful to spend time explaining everything being done and answering questions. He was very patient and caring. This is a first-class operation from the top to the bottom. Absolutely no regrets and would absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks. After an accident, I was left with a mess. After years of dental procedures and problems of nearly every kind, I was down to 9 teeth and no molars. Dr. Urzola extracted the remaining 9 and installed 12 implants, 6 up and 6 down. It took several days for me to recover enough to be fitted with full acrylic arches but all went well. The arches look amazing and everything is healing well, now two months out. I plan to upgrade from the acrylic to zirconia in a few months. Looking forward to returning to Costa Rica. Make no mistake, though, this is serious work and, under the wrong circumstances, would be very, very painful. Dr. Urzola and his team worked very hard to make sure I had what I needed to mitigate any major discomfort. Yes, after surgery it still hurt some and, yes, there was discomfort, but all of that was to be expected, was expected and was managed. So thankful for finding Dr. Urzola and his team. Such a blessing!

This clinic is amazing! Everyone there treated me so well and took the utmost care in my treatment. I had full implant surgery and I can not believe how easy it was. I expected the worst having had previous dental trauma and I can say that the pain level was at a ZERO, and the anti-inflammatories kept the swelling to a minimum. I couldn't be more pleased overall with my results. I watched someone I follow on social media on their Urzola journey and decided to contact them. My experience was beyond anything I could have hoped for. The clinic is beautiful, all the staff is so kind and attentive, Dr Urzola was very professional yet also very personable, and Christina made sure I understood the entire process from start to finish. There were no surprises, except for literally having no pain in the days following surgery.

Dr Urzola and his staff are the epitome of professionalism. After experiencing an unfortunate chip on my implant, I was immediately scheduled in. Dr Urzola, in his unique way, put me at ease and wound up completely redoing my implant. With time constraints on my part, the doctor and his staff worked late into the evening to accommodate me. I truly appreciate his “friendship and professionalism”. I highly recommend Dr. Urzola and his artistry to create a wonderful, new smile!

We loved URZOLA Dentistry. He was recommended to us by a friend who used him. Aside from our trusting his professional opinion, the doctor is a great human being and we trust him as a person. He speaks outstanding English, communicates well, and his staff is wonderful. In a nutshell: good doctors and good people. My husband and I both had 6 on one dental implants done for both upper and lower arches and have no regrets 9 months later.

Hi my name is red from Cleveland and I wanted nice teeth and a smile so I started checking in to it and couldn’t believe what they wanted to give me implants was crazy so I checked in to Costa Rica and the first time I called it was Urzola dentistry best thing to ever did they are the friendliest and nicest people u could ever meet I was nervous about going but I did it and they were amazing threw out the whole procedure and my teeth are beautiful and u don’t even know there not your real teeth I luv them and I highly recommend anyone that needs dental work got to Urzola dentistry u will be glad u did 😁😁😁😁

I went to Dr Urzola back in April to start My procedure I had my teeth removed and 3 days later I received my temporary teeth it was painless.The staff was great they were all very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions.I went back in August when my implants and bone were healedThey have the most modern equipment I have ever seen in the USA. The price in NC and SC were extremely expensive and they nickel and dime you til you are broke. The cost of my implants and permanent teeth. The USA only offered a 7-year warranty.With Dr Urzola my cost was at least over 60 per cent cheaper and his office has a lifetime guarantee no matter what happens.Cristina is such a great help in helping you arrange all the questions you may have about hotels you get a discount and a free ride from the airport to your hotel and free transport from the hotel to the doctor's office. I highly recommend Dr Urzola and the staff. thanks I hope this information will help you make your choice for offices.Gregory This is December and having my new teeth is the best thing I have done for myself

When I contacted Urzola, Christina took control and was so helpful with my Dental plan, hotel accommodations, pretty much any and all questions I had, she answered the quickly and helped me every step of the way.Doctor Urzola had also reached out to consult with me which I thought was very helpful, and a real nice personal touch, it mattered to me.I sent x-rays and we all discussed a dental plan, including costs. I had shopped them around with 2 other oral surgeons, comparing prices. Urzola was right in line with others. When I finally arrived in Costa Rica, their driver who had sent me a confirmation the day prior confirming everything ( which is a stress relief when traveling) my flight arrived late in evening. They were right there to pick me up and bring me to a clean, reputable hotel (no charge) so I was already blown away by them.When I met with the team the next day to say hi, Doctor Urzola came out, shook my hand, we talked, looked at my x-rays, looked into my mouth. He and his staff made suggestions to me about my plan, we made adjustments to the plan of removing all my top teeth, to replace with full implants, and close to the same on bottom of my mouth. We came up with a new plan which was better than the suggestions I got in the states. The new plan which after a lengthy review that first day, The new plan was thousands of dollars less, much less invasive to my mouth, and a solid and sensible use of what I had that didn’t need removal.Dr Urzola could’ve done what I presented for a plan, and made much more money for himself and his staff. But, they looked out for my best interest and my financesThe entire staff was so pleasant, easy to talk with, and the service I received was top notch. I could not be happier. The original plan was over 45k in the states, even with travel, a mini vaca while here. The costs of my intended plan, more so the plan they suggested and we went with were a value that has made me so happy !!! I can’t stop smiling and showing off my new teeth and smile. It has given me great confidence smiling and I feel like I have a new life with a perfect set of chompers. I am thoroughly pleased and would recommend Urzola Dental to everybody!! My experience was incredibly satisfying Thank you Guys!!!!Anybody can call me and talk to me about what I had done for work and my experience!!!

I'm from South Florida and was a little apprehensive, but had to have my teeth removed and implants implanted. It was definitely a positive experience. Dr Urzole and his staff are educated, knowledgeable and so kind. The driver I had, Adrien was impressive, professional and eager to go out of his way to make sure I was happy and always on time.
