Hi there, 19th Nov 2019.This visit was to the hygienist for scale and post. Costs are always fair and competitive.I have attended the Avondale Clinic for many years. Catriona and her team are first-class professionals combined with a very friendly and personal approach. I could not recommend them more. I actually look forward to booking my next appointment! The practice is spotless, bright and airy and the staff are relaxed and helpful.More recently, Grace, a new Hygienist started at the clinic. She is superb at scaling and polishing, with zero discomforts.Sincere thanks to all the staff at Avondale Dental Clinic.

Dental Checkup, Hygienist Session

I have just been back from my checkup in the Avondale clinic. I am very nervous about going to the dentist but Dr. Begley did a great job of making me feel calmer as soon as I got in the chair by explaining what she was going to do and that at any time if I wanted to stop to just raise my hand. I had a checkup done and a scale and polish, followed by a consultation on dental hygiene. Overall I felt that Dr. Begley was very thorough and I never felt a thing! I would highly recommend the Avondale clinic The clinic was clean, I was welcomed at the door, and was seen to straight away.

Dentist Consultation

Here’s why I think Dr Greg Henry is the best dentist in the universe. My dentophobia was so severe I neglected my teeth and hadn’t seen a dentist in donkeys years until, in 2022, a toothache got so bad that I had no choice. I went online to see where in Bray I might find one who deals with nervous patients. I was pointed to the Avondale Dental Clinic. I emailed them saying, “I'm 62 years of age and have a profound fear of dentists. It's been five years since my last visit to a dentist.” It read like one of those Friday confessions I was forced to do as a child: “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It’s been five years since my last confession.” Anyway… I got an appointment with Dr Greg Henry in the Avondale Clinic. As I lay on the treatment chair I shook like – I was going to say a leaf, but more like a tree in a storm. “Can we say that you’re extremely anxious?” he asked while filling out my patient notes. “Y-y-yes,” I stuttered. Dr Henry was so kind, patient, professional and brilliant at his job, the tooth was filled before I knew it. I went back a while later for another treatment and shook less. From then I agreed to see Dr Henry for regular, twice-yearly check-ups. At a recent appointment, I realised that the awful fear I’d felt about going to the dentist had been lifted off me. I was free. I lay back and pretended I was in a beauty parlour, not a dental clinic. The man’s a genius. I cannot recommend Dr Greg Henry highly enough. Form an orderly queue now, people. I was here first :)
