Root Canals, PFM Crown

Very good service. Nice and friendly atmosphere and great prices too. I will definitely use them again. I came in for a root canal and the dentists were honest in me not needing the treatment. That shows that they really care about my health and could easily made more money. Highly recommended. Very clean office and warm atmosphere. It is inside a small business center and was fairly easy to find. Everyone spoke perfect English and they were all very kind. I will definitely come back again for all future treatments. Thank you !

Dental Crowns

Two Crown Replacement I have researched and have been to visit dentists in Ensenada, Mexicali, and TJ. I liked Dental Smile because they are extremely close to the border and San Isidro Ca (south San Diego). I had two crowns replaced. The cost was half of all the other Dentists I researched...at $130.00 each for metal with porcelain. The service was excellent the Dr. spoke to me mostly in English even though I told him I could speak in Spanish. He met me outside the Mc'y D's just passed the taxi corrals and escorted me to his small modest clean office. Greeted by his receptionist who is also his wife. I literally had two crowns replaced with in 24 hours. And, he even took a check for the first payment and cash for 2nd. My first appointment was Monday and I had the two crowns in my mouth by Tuesday at the same time. I would recommend the work from Dr. Ricardo Navarrete Amezcua to any family or friends who need dental work. I am also looking forward to him removing all 13 metal fillings from my mouth and using the white filling. At $30.00 per tooth. Almost half of the cost other dental offices I have researched. (he only uses white filling for all cavities.) I also appreciated his honest FREE examination of my teeth with out any kind of up selling or judgement. Thank you to Dr and Wife team at Dental Smile. See you in December for more work. Thank you.

Fillings, Dental Crowns, Teeth Cleaning

Between my husband and I, we had 2 Deep Cleanings with an Ultrasonic Scaler, 5 Fillings, 1 Crown, and a replacement Retainer. Dr. Rick scheduled the morning for just us, and it was a great experience. His service and knowledge was better than the dentists I have been to in the US. He took the time to explain things, did not try to upsell us on work we didn't need, and charged us exactly what he quoted. No bait and switch here.We had not had cleanings for a few years, and our US dental insurance was useless. Since our visit, my gums have never been healthier! We will be back every year! Dr. Rick is the best dentist! My husband and I visited in September and had work done. It was a very comfortable atmosphere, and he was very kind. We had fillings, crowns, deep cleanings and I got a new retainer. His prices are the best around, by far. His office is 1 block from Pedwest, so easy to walk to and back. For American's reading this, we felt very safe the whole time. It can be a little scary not knowing where you are going in a different country, but we will be back every year for our cleanings and work if needed. We saved about $2k by going to Dr. Rick. Our family could not afford US dental prices which are ridiculously high. Go see Dr. Rick for great care, excellent service, and the best prices anywhere. He will email you back, and be honest about his prices. The US dentist lied and said we needed 10k worth of work when we didn't. Thank you Dr. Rick!

3 teeth extraction,3x3 tooth bridge I set appointment,on first appointment doctor did 2 extractions and temporary 6 teeth bridge,second app another tooth extraction plus impression for permanent teeth,third app grinding and taking impression for another bridge,and after fourth appointment I was walking home with three porcelain bridges and brand new smile.Doctor even change my decision and made two 3 teeth bridge instead one 6 teeth,which looks more natural.After years I can smile without hiding my mouth...

Root Canals, Dental Crowns

Preparation of incisors and placement of Zirconia crowns My two front teeth broke down to within a millimetre or two of the gumline in the back. A US dentist said I would almost surely need root canals, placement of posts and crowns. The price for basic porcelain on metal crowns alone were quoted at $800 apiece or more. I contacted several different dentists in Tijuana. Dr. Navarette quoted $1350 which included Zirconia crowns, the hardest, most cosmetic ones. I made the appointment and Maria met me just after I crossed into Mexico. After an x-ray & exam, he recommended not to have root canals done and was able to save both teeth. The worst part of any dental procedure for me is the injections, especially when it is in the front part of the upper jaw. He did an excellent job of making the injections as painless as possible. He prepared the teeth to accept crowns and took two impressions, explaining that he always did that to make sure the lab had an extra just in case one broke and to make sure they were consistent. He fit two temporary crowns in place which fit reasonably well and looked quite natural. When I first entered the office I asked about payment options. I had spoken to several other offices and assumed he accepted debit cards, but he does not and I didn't bring a large amount of cash or check so he drove me to a shopping center ATM when we were done so I could withdraw $300 cash to put down on the work, less than normal, but he just asked that I bring cash or a personal check for the balance when I came back. I returned after ten days (my schedule wouldn't allow sooner) and he removed the temporaries and took extra time to make sure the permanent crowns fit properly and were cemented in place. With no root canals, total was $880. Dr Navarette is personable and competent. I highly recommend him.
