Very pleased with Dr Shirley Baker. I found her from your website - I dont usually do things like that! I travelled to San Diego and stayed there and walked across the border. It was hassle free and easy. I found her staff helpful and friendly. She speaks excellent English - completely fluent I never had any concerns in this regard. We discussed the treatment plan and I was happy with her professional approach and thoroughness. The dental office was clean and smart.I got 5 crowns and 5plus fillings for a fraction of what it was quoted to me in the US. And I am happy with the results - I got Empress ceramic Imax crowns, a full dental exam at the start and a deep cleaning at the end. Would I recommend Dr Baker? - absolutely. She was very generous with her time and committed to good results in the long run.

I would highly recommend Dr. Shirley Baker for any dental work you needto have done!Dr. Baker saw me, this past July 2007. I had three teeth capped,my teeth cleaned and whitened at her TJ office. She is fluent inEnglish, her office is a professional office with sterilized equipment,it is modern, and her staff is all very helpful. Entering in to TJ issafe as is exiting by foot. As you walk across the border, if you areon foot, she will have a car waiting for you at the McDonalds whichtakes you to her dental office. When your appointment is over, you arereturned to McDonalds to exit Mexico back into San Diego.Her prices are exactly what she tells you each service will be, nothingis hidden and sprung on you later. Dr. Baker is warm, gracious, and verytalented. She makes sure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.What I loved the most was being able to watch movies while the work wenton. She has some sort of eyeglasses, which you are able to see whatlooks like big, screen version of the movie. When I did a big bellylaugh, they stopped work until I had simmered down and opened my mouthwide again.Not only did I see Dr. Baker, but also so did my 85-year-old Mother. Shehad 8 teeth pulled, her teeth cleaned and upper and lower partials madeby Dr. Baker which we were able to get while we were down there and notmonth or so later like we have happen here at home. Just to have Momseight teeth pulled here was going to be $1200 and the upper and lowerpartials would have been an additional 1,800. It was not nearly thatprice, and she was kind and gentle with my Mom, gave her antibiotics andpainkillers for her extensive work, so she could be more comfortable.Dr. Baker then called each day after the procedures.

Dental Crowns

Highly recommend Dr. Baker - her staff was excellent and met all our expectations in expertise. We received honest evaluations of our dental health with reasonable plans for work to be done, our time spent there was efficient and we were especially pleased with the friendliness and "above and beyond" hospitality. We had excellent results in the work done (each of us had 3 filing replacements with composites and 1 crown - I had my teeth whitened as well) and will recommend Dr. Baker to all. The total for both of us was $2300 - saving us approximately $3000 even after travel from Alaska and all that includes.

Root Canals, Fillings, Teeth Whitening

3 Root canals, 3 crowns, mercury filling replaced, etc. Dr. Baker is hands-down the BEST dentist on the planet - In fact, she's a MIRACLE WORKER! For well over 10+ years I have suffered with unexplained sinus infections and debilitating fevers and brain fog. But Dr. Baker immediately saw something unusual around an old root canal, and recommended redoing the entire process to see if the mysterious infection would disappear. Mind you, when I lived in NY I would go to high-end holistic specialists who NEVER caught this, even though I complained about this tooth every year for over a decade. Dr. Baker's root canal specialist was SO patient and skilled that he spent over 8 hours working on the tooth -- only to find that a drill bit had been left inside one of the roots, causing the pain and infections. Dr. Baker and this root canal specialist are the BEST I've seen!!!!! On top of that, I've gotten several other procedures done there: 2 more root canals, all of my mercury fillings removed, teeth whitening, old cavities replaced, etc. -- not only getting BETTER service, but also costing me a small fraction of what it would have cost me in the states. I'll admit, I was nervous about going to Tijuana for treatments, simply because I can be a bit of a weenie when it comes to traveling to new places by myself. But a very "meticulous" friend had gotten AMAZING work done there, so I trusted her judgement.But I was SHOCKED by how easy the entire process was. The location is actually SO easy to get to, and Dr. Baker's driver picked me up right across the boarder - always on time, and with a smile. It actually couldn't be more convenient! And her entire staff are all SO friendly -- I was there so many times last year, they were starting to become like family... I will continue to go to Dr. Baker forever -- she's an ANGEL!!!!

Cleanings & other Small but clean and friendly office. Excellent experience - price was less than quoted and we would go back to her. We arrived planning to spend about $1500 for our regular maintenance for twp of us, plus a root canal and crown for my husband. Turned out that hubby didn't need a root canal (he was told to stop scrubbing his gums so hard with the Sonicare toothbrush) instead they applied a tooth-coloured sealer along the gum line at the sore tooth. For the 2 of us we paid less than $300 for cleanings, X-rays, exams and his treatment.

Complex extraction, treatment of jaw infection, root canal, crown, consults Due to complications that were compounded by expensive dentistry & maxillofacial surgery over the past 12+ years, I had been living in constant pain. I'm self employed and ineligible for Dental; a couple years back I had spent a large sum of money on dental treatment for my wife and me; it was outlandish. Dr. Baker came recommended by a close friend, so when the pain became unbearable, I made an appointment. I was very reluctant to venture into TJ. However, it was nothing like I expected.Dr. Baker and her staff were able to resolve the pain I had been suffering with for years. Thanks to her excellent work and post treatment care, the area is now pain-free. I never would have imagined this to be possible. Given her dedication and post-op phone calls, free follow-ups, and consultations with colleagues re complications of my jaw, I really think Dr. B cares more about her patients' well-being and the administration of proper health care than about financial incentives.My second procedure was a root canal performed by their specialist. It was without a doubt the best root canal procedure I've had. The dentist was very skilled and thorough. I felt no post-procedure pain -- a first for me. The crown looks aesthetically perfect; my wife couldn't tell which tooth had the new crown. Every visit to Dr. Baker's has been marked by professionalism, courtesy and dependability. This clinic is the only place I plan on going for dental anything. The office sets up the logistics that get you from the pedestrian border crossing to Dr. B's office and back to the US border entry line, so I've never felt left in the lurch. This was my biggest concern before the first visit. I'm very lucky to have found Dr. B, and I cannot thank her & her staff enough for the wonderful medical care.

I'm quite pleased with the quality of the work, and Doctor Baker was extremely accommodating with time constraints I placed on her. This was a very positive experience. I would recommend Shirley without reservation.

I was pleased with quality of treatment! I would recomend it to family and friends. I would return if amount was guarenteed with no suprises!!! An average Root Canal in Mexico is $85.00 to $170.00 US I paid $300.00 US. An average Crown Is $95- $210 Us, I paid $300.00, then was hit with an Unexpected extra $200.00 for build up that was not initually discussed or agreed apon! costing me $800.00 US for a Root Canal and Porcilin Crown that should not have cost me more than $380.00 US together in Mexico!! that is $480.00 more than double the cost!!I would return, IF it is agreed apon no more than $600.00 total including build up if needed.

Dr. Shirley Baker and her staff definitely make the best of a bad situation. After a thorough exam of my teeth, gums and bone structure, Dr. Baker discussed treatment options and answered all of my questions. I am thankful that I received a good price from Dr. Baker's office before I had a crown and bridge done. Dr. Shirley Baker is the best!!! I have been going to Dr. Shirley Baker’s dental office for years. Absolutely love her and she has the best staff. The Hygienists are always kind and very professional. They have also renovated and expanded the office. Provided you need to see a Dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Baker's office. Excellent overall experience and also, It's nice to have a Dentist who you can trust to do excellent quality work.Dr. Shirley Baker did a fantastic job and improved my smile!

Were you pleased with the treatment? YES! I've always had a problem with the crown on my front tooth.. It was bulky and misplaced so there was a cavity under it..she had to replace the crown to properly fix the cavity and I was soooo glad I decided to go ahead with it. My smile has vastly improved because she took the time to make sure it was going to be the perfect match. Would you recommend the clinic? YES, highly recommend.
