MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Yes, I was pleased with both cost and service. No treatment as such but an MRI scan that was most cost effective compared to the UK, or waiting on the NHS. Easy to get to as very close to Faro airport, with the Hotel Monaco to stay in overnight nearby. I was also most impressed with the care and attention paid to organising the date/time of my scan to fit in with my arrival date and plans to visit friends, thus maximising the time I spent with them.

Addmitted to Gambelas Hospitial Faro, over a four day peiod for an operation for a hysterectomy.Chose this Hospital because of its reputaion and proximity to my home address.I would not hesitate recommending this Hospital to friends or family. From the first consultaion with the Dr to attending at the hospital, having my operation and being discharged from the Hospital my treatment was first class.All the members of the staff from the Dr,s Nurses and admin staff was excellent helpful and friendly.

Dermatologist Consultation

Removal of large basal cell carcinoma on the face. Dr viegas came highly recommended, and now we know why. It was located right next to the eye, very awkward area. Quick, efficient, professional. Everything you could ask for. A little expensive, but when you get such great service, you don't mind. Absolutely would recommend him to anyone. Dr paolo viegas was fantastic, and did an amazing job closing up a large hole left after he removed a bcc. How he managed to stitch it up without a skin graft, a true professional. Highly recommended.

removal of stitches Removal of 5 stitches inserted in UK immediately prior to holiday - removed after 10/14 days. Initial emailed quote "no more than 90 Euro", including seeing Doctor and removal of stitches. Saw Doctor who did not examine wound or even remove dressing, stitches removed by nurse. Billed 116 Euro. Queried bill and had the Doctor element removed. Revised bill 46 Euro.
