About CardioDent:

CardioDent started in 2009 as a family business, with Alexandru Untu, MD in internal medicine and cardiology, Rodica Untu, MD in dentistry, and Codrin Untu, MD in dentistry and manager of the entire business.

Currently, our multidisciplinary team is made up of six dentists, a specialist in oral surgery with extended competences in implantology, a specialist in orthodontics, a specialist in cardiology and an anesthesiologist. This team offers a full range of dental treatments, including oral and maxillofacial surgery with inhalosedation or general anesthesia, orthodontic procedures, insertion of dental implants, aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, and dental radiology.

CardioDent timeline: September 2009 - concept release; August 2011 – opening of our office in Valea Lupului; February 2015: opening of our office in the Păcurari neighborhood.

An important contribution to the development of our business was brought by the implementation of two European projects for endowment with state-of-the-art medical equipment (2011 and 2014). Following this investment of 157.500 EUR, our business became a match to any dentistry and cardiology clinic in Europe, offering among others in-house dental radiology, dental laser procedures, inhalosedation equipment, physiodispenser system for implantology, color Doppler echocardiograph, physical effort testing equipment, Holter and ABPM monitoring, laser Beyond whitening system and sterilization equipment by the German brand Melag.

One of the basic concepts for CardioDent has been the linking and integration of cardiology and dentistry, in the context of cardiovascular diseases being the main factor of morbidity and mortality within the general population, and of the already scientifically proven fact that dental problems can trigger and exacerbate these diseases. From this particular point of view, we are the only clinic in Iasi, and one of the few in Romania that can perform safe dental treatments, under the supervision of a cardiologist, in patients with cardiovascular risks, regardless of their age.
