This specialist endodontic clinic in Singapore offers advanced endodontic or root canal treatments and other dental treatments for overseas patients. Referrals from general dentists are accepted at the clinic. On the first visit the root canal of the tooth is cleaned and medications are placed to prevent bacteria from entering the root canal. On the second visit a rubber filling is placed inside the root canal. The patient is referred back to the general dentist for placement of a filling and crown. Adults and children are treated and nervous patients are treated under sedation.
I did like the clinic and the doctor. The assistant is super friendly and nice. However, I felt that the prices are a bit on the high side and that the way it was charged is very confusing.I paid the following for 2 root canal treatments (doesn't include crown): - Root canal Treatment: SGD 1'100 per tooth. - Post/Core or Pin Core: SGD 200 per tooth. - Orthodontic Treatment: SGD 100 per tooth. - Re-clean canals after 2 yrs: SGD 100 per tooth. -That makes a total of SGD 3'000 for two tooth. The total treatment did probably not exceed 4 hours. With regards to the payment, after the first initial session I was asked to pay SGD 800 per tooth and I thought that was it e.g. the whole cost of the treatment. However, on subsequent visits I was asked to pay again between SGD 200-400. Even I thought it was expensive, I continued to pay. The real shock came after the last treatment of a few minutes when I was asked to pay the balance of SGD 1'000 (for both tooth). If I knew from the beginning the total cost for the treatment I would have gone somewhere else. Since it was a referral and an HDB based dentist I didn't think it was that expensive. Unless you have too much money, I suggest you check with other dentists.
