The dentist and the dental assistants made me feel at ease from the beginning

5.0
Dental Crowns, Root Canals

After suffering the embarrassment of a front black tooth caused by a root canal gone wrong, which I'd had years ago, and which two previous dentists told me that it couldn't be fixed, and that a crown on my tooth was not possible. I was lucky enough to be taken on as a patient by Advance Dental Care. I was placed with the dentist named Kas, he told me the reason why my tooth had discoloured so badly and explained what treatment he could offer to put things right. So firstly he did a re-route canal, but unfortunately my tooth was so dark that the re-route didn't make a lot of difference. So I went ahead and had the crown - which other dentists said was not possible, and now I have a lovely white crown - which for all the world (matches) looks like my own tooth, and I couldn't be happier. It not only looks great, but has given me my confidence back, and now I'm happy to smile properly again. Also, I'm nervous of dentists, but Kas and the dental assistants made me feel at ease from the beginning. Plus the receptionists are nice and polite, so much so that I'm actually looking forward to going back to arrange a mini plate for my couple of missing back teeth.

From start to finish I was very well looked after

Mini Implants

After many years of trouble with all my upper teeth, I decided to have them all removed and have mini dental implants fitted. From start to finish I was very well looked after. I was told exactly what would happen and nothing was too much trouble when any minor adjustments were needed with the final implant. I am left extremely happy with the final outcome and would not hesitate in recommending.

No pain, no discomfort - absolutely fine

5.0
Dentist Consultation

I am undergoing a lot of different procedures at the moment. In the past I have been terrified of visits to the dentist, having had a very traumatic experience when I was a child. I can honestly say, with hand on heart, that this is by far and away from the best treatment I have ever received. No pain, no discomfort - absolutely fine. Visited Diane and Aga yesterday and came away dancing on air! Please don't be afraid, give this practice a try - you won't regret it...

I left still somewhat confused about services available

2.5
Flexible Partial Dentures, Dentist Consultation

There is a reluctance to accept NHS patients who cannot afford large private fees. Many dentists do not make it clear about charges and the various pricing options available to the patient. It seems Dentist's are slowly joining the get rich quick brigade by steering many people over to private practice instead of NHS practice. I have worked for 46 years and paid into the system. I now only have a part time job (16 Hours x Minimum wage) and simply can't afford private levels of charge. A poor way to treat someone who has contributed all their working life and are now in an hour of need Reasonable time to see the Dentist. A good and full inspection of my teeth and gums ensued. I left still somewhat confused about services available to me and relevant charges. I was told that some procedures are available by the NHS but others would be not be made available unless charged at private prices. Surely if a practice accepts new NHS patients we should expect to recieve any treatment listed under the NHS guidelines and the final capped price associated with that particular band of treatment. I repeat that it appears that Dentists feel that complex or time-consuming procedures should only be done at private charge rates. For instance I have a root canal problem with a Canine in my mouth and was told that it would cost about £600 to rectify. Surely root canal treatment is listed in the NHS guide to band charges. There is a massive difference between the full private charges and the capped NHS band charges. With private schemes there is also a direct-debit mandatory fee scheme to pay approx £120/per year for two quick inspections - often without any scale or polish treatment administered.

Fillings, Dental Crowns

Fantastic treatment by people who care.Lost a filling, had to have a crown - was offered alternative options but this was the best one.I'm terrified of needles! So a caring sympathetic dentist is a must and these folks tick ALL the boxes - kind, understanding, friendly, Suzanne & Gareth were great, explaining what was happening and keeping me calm and relaxed.Excellent service and value. Great (never thought i'd say that about the dentist!).Have been before but not for such a big job.Smart reception, calming surrounding, happy friendly helpful staff.I would recommend this dental practice to anyone.10/10

From the beginning to end of my treatment, they were all so brilliant

Dental Implants

I have just had my Dental implants completed at Advance Dental Care with Andy and his fantastic Dental nurses, the receptionists were all so friendly when I contacted them. Due to gum disease my teeth had moved and deteriorated over time and I became very conscious of them. I chose this dentist after my consultation and have never looked back. From the beginning to end of my treatment, they were all so brilliant, explained everything fully and they were all so kind and caring. I couldn't have wished for better and I am over the moon with the results.

Extractions

Had to have a tooth extracted by Kas who explained the whole procedure to me and talked me through everything. The procedure went well, no pain or discomfort. Cannot praise Kas or Aga highly enough for the treatment, excellent throughout. Would recommend the practice to anyone who has a fear of dentists.
