Dentist Consultation

I attended a consultation I had arranged, my overall opinion was that, Mr Mark Russell wanted to hear what treatment I wanted.I was given advice, and options, something personally from decades of dental treatment id never experienced, needless to say I feel I'm in safe hands to have my treatment plan with Contemporary Dental.

Dentures

My treatment with Mark Russ was excellent. I have had two visits with Mark in preparation for implants to stabilise a lower denture, however this is on hold following my developing Covid followed by Bronchitis which has left me feeling exhausted. I look forward to the completion of my treatment in the New Year.

Extractions

Having a treatment plan agreed upon with Contemporary Dentists a few months ago, the New Year saw me attend for the penultimate work to be carried out. A sedation multiple extractions and a new denture, needless to say as a nervous patient I was very anxious. Well, I received excellent care, was put at ease, the dental nurses were brilliant and Mr Russ, had, I imagine a challenging time with what I needed to do. The outcome two days later, I'm 100% happy and very grateful for their help and I have found my confidence is now coming back, so finding Contemporary Dentists Exeter was the best thing that's happened to me. I recommend anyone searching for dental care search no more you'll find it at Contemporary, many thanks to Mr Mark Russ and the team.

Hygienist Session

I was told by 3 high street dentists that they would not do the procedure until I had had a series of infections and would then have to be referred back to an NHS hospital.I was told I would probably only have my top wisdom teeth out, to stop them from pushing food down into my lower wisdom teeth.I was also offered fillings on my bottom wisdom teeth, but because of where they were and how impacted they were I found it difficult to clean them.I was a private patient at all of these dental surgeries.I was also finding it difficult to book a hygienist appointment.Fast forward to Contemporary Dental!I booked in as a new patient, and had an exam and hygiene appointment in the same visit!The x-ray showed how impacted my teeth were and Mark suggested straight away we look at getting them out asap.No worries, no stress, no talk of multiple infections or fillings...I told Mark I was a bit nervous about having them out, and I realise this has been caused by previous Dentists telling me all the horror stories.I was sedated, and I woke up after the procedure.I have had no bruising, no swelling, minimal pain.I'm just shocked- they're out, I'm feeling great.I got a follow-up call the day after, which I found lovely.I have been a private patient since my dentist retired and couldn't find an NHS dentist.I have found some dentists charge you private prices for really basic care and you rarely see the same dentist.I am very happy with Contemporary Prices because they go above and beyond with their care.I also feel by paying for the extractions I had, I can now look after my teeth better.The clinic is lovely, friendly, kind, approachable people.I'm very happy with the service and care I have received and I couldn't recommend Contemporary Dentist enough.It's nice to see the same dentist/ hygienist each time and to build a relationship.A very happy patient!

Dentist Consultation, Extractions

I haven’t seen a dentist for over 15 years due to complete fear. I started with a few broken teeth that for the last 8 years have me in consistent pain, abscess and unable to eat what I want. It’s felt like an utter curse.After being bashed about by my family to go and see a dentist I found Contemporary Dental. My first visit I was asked some questions and given a mass of X-rays. Straight away mark and his entire team were great, I was super nervous to even have anyone look due to embarrassment however mark was fantastic. I said I was nervous and anything I have done, I need to be sedated. Normally this is the point I’m given a massive speech about I should try it first blah blah blah, but not here, mark just said “fine not a problem”. Everything I asked for he could accommodate.My first appointment to have 2 severely broken teeth removed was yesterday, I was extremely nervous however when I got in, I paid, said hello, laid down and they put me under sedation. I floated through the entire procedure and woke up to mark just finishing up, asking if I was all good and a lady holding my hand.Gave me meds and my chaperone took me home. Honestly, it was a breeze and my issues sorted.You may look at the prices and think expensive, maybe not, who knows, all I can say is the service is incredibly good and worth every single penny.I’d go back in a heartbeat at the sight of any issue.

Dental CT - CBCT Scan

CT scan. It wasn't cheap but it was less than I expected for a CT scan. It cost £240 or around that sum but it provided a scan/picture of the whole set of teeth. The receptionist was professional, punctual and clear. The dentist who dealt with me was very nice and calm, and he explained everything at every step. He advised me very clearly on what my choices are, and if I get implants somewhere else, what details and model/number/size of the material to look for in case I develop problems later and need help. He answered all the questions I had and also spotted an infection I wasn't aware of. I would go back there because I felt he was knowledgeable but also understanding.Another great plus is having parking right in front of the clinic.

Root Canals

I had to have quite a lot of work done on my teeth including root canal treatment. I have high levels of anxiety and a phobia of needles, I needed to be sedated for the treatment. Contemporary dental were fantastic from start to finish, they were very considerate of my needs and fears. I choose them because they were willing to go the extra mile in helping me get the treatment i needed.They are a professional, friendly and caring team.
