I actually couldn't make my appointment for a checkup today as I have a cough and cold. Lovely lady in reception was able to offer me a cancellation for two days' time. She kindly said hope you feel better soon.Last time I was here for a check up, I was seen by a female dentist, I don't know her name, but she was really pleasant. I really don't enjoy getting a check up ( that scrappy thing they do around your teeth ) but I felt more relaxed than usual.I generally don't need any treatment, haven't had a filling or extraction for years, so I cant comment any further except to say. Maybe ask for the female dentist, she will put you at your ease if you're at all anxious.Might be the same for the other dentists, but the ones I've seen at Atlantic in the past no longer work there.
