Dental Implants, Dental Crowns

My two front teeth were wearing out, my bridge post was deteriorating and being well over 35 years it had reached the end of it's life. As the set of three were part of my crowned tooth, this meant all three front teeth would go. There was an option of having a denture, but I refused to wear one long term, so implants were the only solution for me. Which was why I chose them. Be under no illusion because of healing, this process takes a very long time, from tooth extraction to them being fitted it can take a good 6 to 8 months. So you will have to endure wearing a denture for that time. My regular dentist took the bridge off but leaving my crown temporarily intact, I needed only a denture for the two front teeth.I was recommended a place to have implants, and although I was happy with the first part of the procedure the abutments or crowns were proving a different matter. It is usual in any clinic to have two specialist dentists; one for the implants and another for the crowns. So you can imagine my dismay when the crown specialist greatly over priced the original quote and insisted on including things I did not want, namely tooth whitening and upgraded crowns. This was why I changed my clinic. I was a bit concerned whether I'd made the right decision. But I was so glad I did as Gavin is such a lovely man who immediately put all my fears to rest. Not concerned with selling his main priority is pleasing you the client, and his demeanour is such that you just can't help but trust him. Plus his prices are very reasonable and he does not go for the 'hard sell', and there are no hidden surprises. But it still didn't stop me worrying.Now they are fitted I wonder why I worried so much. My new crowns (3 in total) feel lovely, I can run my tongue across them and they feel so smooth, and as for my gum line, well it merges so well you can't tell they are not real. It is for these reasons that I would highly recommend Gavin, having his own surgery reputation and outcome is very crucial for him, plus his reasonable prices make him an excellent choice. I am very pleased with my new teeth, and if you use him so will you.

I am absolutely thrilled with the finished result of my implant and I cannot fault this practice in any way. The service I have received has been first class from start to finish. As a nervous dental patient I am apprehensive about having any treatment so embarking on a tooth implant was a huge thing for me but the staff were professional and caring, explaining every step of the procedure. Dental Bridges

Well after having the all on 4 treatment in mid-March and temporary upper and lower bridge's fitted I've now had my permanent bridge's fitted and I'm more than happy with the final results.Gavin took great care in getting the look and bite of my final bridge's just wright before the moulds were turned into teeth, he's a perfectionist and after what he was presented with before surgery I think he's a miracle worker, and for the 1st time in years, I can now bite into an apple without fear of losing a tooth and eat all the foods I've had to swerve for years.I can't thank Gavin and the team enough for all their hard work, and to Dr Richard Brookshaw who's a fantastic oral surgeon, at no time have I had any pain or discomfort. Thank you for dental solutions for helping me make such a big decision so easy. Thanks for everything.

CT Scan - Computed Tomography, Dental Implants, Dental Bridges

I had been fighting a losing battle for years against gum recession and bone disease. Finally, in conjunction with my dentist, I decided to have two loose teeth removed and on the recommendation of the dentist two adjacent teeth also be extracted to prevent more bone disease. The teeth were the four front lower.The extractions and provision of a denture were done by my dentist. Unfortunately, she didn’t have the experience to carry out implants.On the recommendation of a friend I visited Dental Solutions. The staff at the clinic were very welcoming and friendly. The clinic arranged for CT scans and confirmed that implants could be fitted. The implants would be used to support a bridge, and be much stronger than utilising the canines.At every stage, I was kept fully informed of what was to happen in a friendly, calm and confident manner. The fitting of the implants was virtually pain-free.The whole process was carried out over a period of some five months, three of which were to allow the implants to bond into the bone.I am delighted with the result. My front teeth look totally natural and of course, don’t have the problems that are usual with dentures.Thanks to Gavin, Richard and all the staff at Dental Solutions.

All-on-4 Dental Implants

I had the All on 4 dental implants at Dental Solutions, only day 2 after the surgery but really pleased with the result, would highly recommend the All on 4 for people who need this kind of treatment. I chose Dental Solutions after reasearching on the internet, the website was really easy to follow and I made the call for a free consultation with Gavin. All the staff that I have met there from the receptionists, dental nurses and hygienists have been so warm and friendly and I was made to feel instantly at ease. Gavin is very professional, approachable and knowledgable whilst maintaining a kind, caring and gentle manor. All stages of my treatment had been thoroughly explained to me by Gavin and Nicky the treatment coordinator beforehand so I knew exactly what was going to happen.The day of the surgery came and I was a nervous wreck to say the least. Richard, Nicky and all the team on the day were fantastic, so patient, reassuring and understanding. I had IV sedation which was great I couldn't remember a thing even though I was conscious through the whole procedure. Richard is a very experienced implant surgeon and I felt in safe hands at all times I cannot recommend him highly enough, he was fantastic.Gavin and his dedicated team are all true professionals I cannot praise them highly enough they all have a genuine desire to help, my only regret is that I didn't find dental solutions years ago. My treatment is now complete and looks fantastic Gavin and Richard have made such a huge difference to my life, not only have they given me back my smile but my confidence as well, and for that I can't thank them enough they are both amazing.

Dental Implants, Sinus Lift

I was referred to Gavin Laidlaw at dental solutions to explore options for dental implants. From first entering the clinic the care, professionalism, skills and knowledge of the team are apparent at all levels. After having a few appointments with dental hygienist I learnt how to look after my teeth in a more appropriate way. The success of this treatment enabled a successful sinus lift to be carried out. I will admit that I was very nervous at the prospect of having this procedure done, however, the personalised care and reassurance throughout and after the process has been ‘second to none’.The caring ethos permeates the whole clinic, Many thanks Anne.
