Dentist Consultation, Fillings

I contacted Old Orchard Dentists, Bonnyrigg following online feedback as I needed a new dentist who would be patient with me as I get quite anxious when at the dentist. I am so anxious, I suffered 3 weeks of steadily increasing toothache - they gave me a cancellation appt for the next day and I saw Mr Benoît Loyer. He was very kind and took care to explain all that he was doing. I had full teeth x-rays, we agreed a plan of treatment and he prescribed me some antibiotics for the infected tooth. I went back a few weeks later and had my first treatment, a filling replacement and tooth decay removal, which was quite deep and verging on root canal treatment if it didn't work. He numbed my gum with gel before the anaesthetic injection and I honestly did not feel any pain through the entire treatment. I was back today for another filling replacement and tooth decay removal and this time, we did the injection without any gel and I still did not feel any pain; he explained that if the anaesthetic is injected slowly it doesn't hurt. Again, there was no pain at all during the treatment, he was very careful and explained what he was doing throughout. I highly recommend him as a caring and excellent dentist.

Dentist Consultation

Initially I was apprehensive about going to a dentist, as I had not attended one for 6 years. However the Old Orchard Dental Practice was superb and Mr Neil Brockie, who treated me, was professional in every way. He even gave me more numbing treatment to ensure my visit was pain free. I can definitely recommend this practice. Reasonable charges and they even have a monthly plan to consider, if you don't fancy paying the total cost right away.

Dental Implants

I was recommended by my dentist to The Old Orchard Dental practice as one of my front teeth had been gradually drifting down and forward for a few years due to a knock I remember happening. An xray showed that the tooth had fractured at the root, so would eventually fall out. At a consultation with Duncan Scorgie from The Old Orchard, I was given options of what could be done, and decided that I wanted to have a Dental Implant fitted. I was really very nervous to say the least but knew I had to get this sorted as it truly was affecting my confidence. On the day of the procedure I was so scared I almost cancelled the appointment, and told Duncan of my fears etc.Duncan and his assistant could not have been more reassuring, and completely calmed me down explaining everything that was going to happen. During the procedure ( where I did not feel a thing ) Duncan constantly checked with me that I was ok and comfortable for him to continue, which really helped me stay calm.I am so happy with the result, and cannot believe how painless the whole experience was. I just wish I had done this sooner and saved myself so much misery. Thank you Duncan - You are Amazing!!!!!! The Old Orchard Dental Practice in Bonnyrigg is very accessable with plenty parking nearby The staff were so friendly and very helpfull when I called to make appointments etc. The reception area has good facilities present i.e coffee machine TV and nice seating area.
