I was referred to Mr Hari with a swollen neck/glands. Whilst Mr Hari could not explain my symptoms at that time, he provided considerable reassurance.An initial ultrasound was then arranged. There were two nodules on my thyroid gland which were not abnormal and a few lymph glands were enlarged. During these tests and consultations, I have been diagnosed with membranous nephropathy. Whilst this cannot be confirmed as the reason for my swollen neck glands it seems to be the only real explanation, perhaps stress related. His personal support through this difficult time has been much appreciated and his care and attention have been considerably better than other consultants I have seen.

I had thyroid surgery with Mr Hari in June 2023. I underwent full thyroidectomy, surgery which went well as expected within 24 hours of leaving the hospital I was pretty much pain-free. The stitch work on my wound is very clean, 3 months from now it’s barely noticeable and will only improve as time goes on. Mr Hari took on my case knowing I had complex other health conditions and took all the extra precautions which was very reassuring. Can’t thank Mr Hari and his team enough for my positive outcome.

Mr Hari was very punctual with his phone call. He asked easy questions to answer that made me feel very at ease. He readily answered any of my questions and soon had an explanation for my problem. He then gave me a website to look at so that I fully understood what it was all about. I was concerned beforehand how a telephone appointment would work but I need not have worried. I was more than impressed with Mr Hari - an excellent telephone manner and a lovely way of making you at ease.

The care I received from Mr. Hari and his team at Nuffield Hospital Shrewsbury has been excellent. I originally booked an appointment due to having one abnormally large tonsil and recurring sore throat, with the NHS saying I didn't meet their criteria for referral to a specialist. From the first consultation through to the eventual tonsillectomy, Mr. Hari was always very friendly in his approach and clear in explaining what the options were He fully involved me in the decision-making process for my care and I never felt under any pressure. On the day of my tonsillectomy, the care and support from Mr. Hari and the team at the Nuffield Hospital were flawless - everyone was friendly and went out of their way to help me. The procedure itself was carried out quickly and without any issues. Mr. Hari came to see me the morning after my surgery and gave me a direct number to contact him in case I had any issues or questions. He also called me on the weekend to check on my progress which was very reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Hari or the Nuffield Hospital Shrewsbury.

I came in for a tonsillectomy due to having bad tonsil stones for an extended period of time. The NHS wouldn't do anything for me and so I decided to go private, I heard this hospital was good and so chose here.I don't know if it was good value as it is a large amount of money, plus the consultation fee which seemed unnecessary given it was 10 minutes of information I already knew, and the doctor trying to convince me not to go through with it.My visit for the surgery was very good, everyone was super friendly and made sure I was alright. However, I don't believe I was informed of everything I could expect, leading to some symptoms being a bit of a surprise. For example, I was struck with terribly painful earache which I wasn't told to expect. I was also told any bleeding was a big concern, however when I did have some it turned out it wasn't too bad due to it being dark old blood which was fine; this was also not explained before hand. There was also a comment passed by the surgeon that I didn't agree with and left me somewhat unhappy. The lunch menu was also little limiting for someone with a smaller pallet, which could be expanded upon.

My operation was for parathyroid glands and goiter removal.I had my operation on 11th November at Nuffield Shrewsbury Hospital.Before my operation, Mr. Hari took time to explain clearly what would happen and what to expect afterward.After the operation my recovery was good and the care by Mr. Hari and the staff was excellent.After nine weeks I can barely see the scar.
