Surgery on droopy eyelid

Eyelid Surgery

My left eyelid was somewhat droopy, leading to the eyebrow above to rise up to compensate when I was tired. This seemed to be caused by excess skin above the eyelid. I explained I would like some of the excess skin removed, to make it easier for the eyelid to remain fully open. Instead they advised to reduce the length of the eyelid muscle. Service was very speedy, with an appointment to see a specialist then surgery within about a week. The surgery was quite quick, with local anesthetic and a sedative. Lying down while someone cuts and sews your eyelid muscle is never going to be a pleasant or comfortable experience but it was as good as such things can be. The eyelid is still swollen so cannot say if 100% successful but it looks to me that things will be good once the swelling goes down. This place specializes in eyes, and lists droopy eyelid rectification as one of their services, so I felt confident they knew what they were doing. The clinic is small, friendly, clean, well-equipped and the two doctors I saw, one a professor, were great. I felt at ease with both, both speak excellent English and are clearly experts. My only complaint was that I ended up going through an extensive eye test procedure twice, once for each specialist. As over-zealous is certainly better than under-zealous that's not much of a complaint. Another good point is I was NOT charged extra, nor were there any additional fees, just a flat 2000 RM as agreed on the phone. Overall I highly recommend this clinic. 5 stars!

Eye Specialist Consultation

I had Femto LASIK done yesterday, and the entire procedure went smoothly. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Faith explained every single step clearly, which helped me stay calm. Surprisingly, I actually found the procedure quite enjoyable and reassuring.After the surgery, I experienced excessive tearing and some discomfort, but it only lasted a few hours. The prescribed eye drops and painkillers helped manage it well. My vision isn’t fully clear yet, but I think that’s normal at this stage. I can’t wait to see the full results. Overall, it was a positive experience so far.
