Eye Specialist Consultation

For many years Mark has been monitoring my care through highs and lows to enable me to maintain my sight. He has never hesitated to see or talk to me whenever the necessity arises. I fully respect his confidentiality and also his willingness to consult with other practitioners looking after my welfare. His clinic is comfortable and spacious and located centrally in St. Albans.

Eye Exam, Eye Specialist Consultation

Dr H was very courteous and helpful made me feel at ease from the start. Gave my eye a full exam before the procedure. Gave the case it's due. That's good in my books. Clinic was well maintained and had good waiting area. Toilets were also clean. The instruments not latest but it's up-to the surgeon how they use the equipment. So I am glad with my experience.

Cataract Surgery

I had cataract in both eyes. My GP referred me to the London Independent Hospital (first class in all aspects !) where I was seen by Dr Mark Hulbert. At the initial thorough examination Dr Hulbert explained to me in detail my condition and the operations that were necessary to put it right. He spared no time in answering all my questions in a friendly and confidence inspiring way.During the actual operations (on different dates for each) Dr Hulbert was, again, very professional yet friendly making me feel at ease. Same during the post-operation visits.All in all, he made the whole experience memorably pleasant.Dr M. Hulbert proved to be a professional expert as well as a friendly and considerate person.I would confidently recommend him.Thank you Dr Hulbert !

Entropion (lower eyelid problems for the second time )Having met Mark and been impressed by the work carried out on my wife's cataracts I called him to discuss my lower eyelid problem. He was very reassuring explaining how he would carry out the work, the time it would take and when he could do it. He was brilliant !! Phoned him on Wednesday, he did it on Saturday! Far better than the first op, no pain, so easy, and far less expensive.If you have an eye problem I would recommend him to you. Thanks again, Mark.

Eye Specialist Consultation

Having worn glasses since I was 10 when the time came for my cataracts to be done I told Dr Hulbert I did not want to wear glasses ever again. I also had a slight astigmatism problem.Dr Hulbert solved both problems by successfully fitting the Symfony lens and I have been delighted by the results. No more glasses and no more contact lens.
