• At EYE PAD OPTICIANS our Optometrists test more than just your eyes.Our friendly, fully qualified optometrist will conduct a thorough eye examination to establish the standard of your eyesight and the overall health of your eyes. We'll look for any early signs of cataracts, glaucoma and other conditions. Problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure and vascular disease can also be detected, as the eye can give clues to general health as well as eye conditions.The optometrist will advise you if any vision correction will be needed, or whether a new prescription is required. You will be given a lens prescription, a written report if necessary and advised when your next eye examination will be due. If signs of any condition or general health problems are detected, we may carry out additional eye tests which may lead to a referral to your doctor or an ophthalmologist for further investigation.If you have never had an eye test before then don't worry! To keep our little Patients happy, we have an extensive range of childrens frames that are completely free and we also stock some competitively priced branded eyewear such as Bench, Top Secret, BlitzKidz, Pineapple, Lee Cooper etc. We provide this choice so that the child can be happy with the look and feel of his/ her spectacles as this is a sure way to ensure he/ she actually wears them.Kids will be kids which can result in children breaking their spectacles. At EYE PAD OPTICIANS we offer a completely free repair and replacement service for all children under the age of 16 (on free frames). So no matter how many times they break or lose their spectacles we can replace them for you free of charge!
