A few words about me...

After 10 years of working in some of the largest UK hospitals ( St George's NHS, Kings College Hospital NHS, Royal Free Hospital NHS etc) I have returned to my birthplace to live and work (Athens, Greece). Since 2014 (after exams on a global level) I have been accepted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). I am also a member of the British Fertility Society (BFS) and I have published several scientific articles on PubMed. I speak English fluently and it would be my honour to help with any gynaecological or infertility problems you may encounter.

I offer a wide range of services and cover all fertility treatments (IVF/ICSI/IMSI/ egg donation/sperm donation/surrogacy/IUI/follicle tracking/ovulation induction/fertility surgery etc ).

My aim is to provide top quality, affordable, next day minimal access surgery in some of the Largest Maternity and Gynaecological hospitals in Athens. I have particular expertise in Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy for a number of problems (pelvic pain, fibroid and polyp removal, treatment of endometriosis, adhesiolysis, cyst removal, coil removal and insertion, clip sterilisation and reversal, oophorectomy, salpingectomy, hysterectomy etc)

My ethos is to treat everybody holistically. I feel that every woman or couple are unique and hence every treatment is individualised and tailor-made to their needs.

Surgery prices once quoted are fixed and include apart from my fee, hospital and anaesthetic charges in the largest private Gynaecological Hospital in Athens.

For fertility treatments, IVF drugs are quoted on an individual basis after the assessment of the case.

Laparoscopic Gynecological Surgery

Dr Ioannis Douliotis has been fantastic. I had ovarian rejuvenation with him following failed egg collections in the UK. He arranged a phone consultation the day after I sent my enquiry and I was flying out to Greece 2 weeks later for the procedure. Communication has been excellent and the whole process was so smooth and efficient.I have more confidence in Dr Douliotis being able to retrieve eggs than I do in a UK clinic, so will be coming back for further treatment.

Dr. Douliotis and his staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. He has always provided the absolute best care. I believe best advice, treatment during every visit of my ivf process and successful pregnancy.There were so many occasions where Dr. Douliotis called us just to see how we were doing even when he didn’t have results to report. We had spent two years at a much larger fertility clinic feeling like we were just a number. When we finally found Dr. Douliotis, we were reminded that we do not need to feel lost and alone and that in the right environment. We would feel supported and hopeful along the entire journey. I felt that I had a very difficult case, but he never made me feel like it was impossible. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaining a very efficient office, then Dr. Douliotis is someone you should consider visiting. Fertility Specialist Consultation

I was at Serum last year and this year - I am very grateful for choosing this clinic. Dr Ioannis and his whole team were just amazing in every way. Whenever I had questions I could contact them and got a response with answers or comforting words right away. While I was staying in Athen's everyone was doing their best to make me feel good and relaxed. Dr Ioannis Douliotis helped me with my IVF treatment including the organisation of the treatment, medication, scans and the embryo transfer. I am an overseas patient with multiple unsuccessful IVF treatments. Dr Ioannis was amazingly supportive, professional and very caring. Not only was his professionalism, assistance and information incredible throughout the treatment, he really helped me emotionally through the process. He was very passionate to get us through and had a lot of empathy for us. Dr Ioannis was available to me anytime I needed him throughout this process without hesitation or delay. Being from Australia and 8-hour time difference, Dr Ioannis was very prompt and immediate with his responses to my emails of questions, this included any time day or night, weekends and also on his time off. He was always there for me and available to me. I had a lot of questions and with continuous emails to Dr Ioannis daily but he devoted his time and was always there to help me. I never felt left alone with questions or concerns and I never felt overwhelmed, scared or anxious. I always felt cared for and supported and I had every trust in Dr Ioannis. I would definitely recommend Dr Ioannis Douliotis and the clinic to an anyone. I cannot thank him enough for his support and kindness. The organisation and treatment led by Dr Ioannis went smoothly and without any concerns. Being from Australia and so far away, I initially thought the organisation and the lead up would be stressful and I would be anxious and a mess. However, this was not the case and totally opposite. My specialist in Australia was very impressed with the information she researched on Serums website and she had more confidence in this Serums technology and information over the other two clinics.When I contacted Serum, they responded immediately. They were prompt, informative each time and assisted me in detail answering all questions my specialist at home had me ask. I asked both clinics and both directors the exact same questions and only Serum answered or matched what my specialist was after. After a few bad experiences with IVF clinics we heard about a clinic in Greece by common friends. There we met Dr. Duolotis, who from the first meeting, showed us a level of care and professionalism that we have not found elsewhere. He's been very proactive in suggesting tailored solutions to our specific issue, and we managed to get 4 embryos out of the process and now we're expecting twins.If you are used to the coldness of clinics in the UK that too often make you feel like a number, then you'll find a completely different story with Dr duolotis, who really cares deeply about his patients, and goes the extra mile to get them where they want to be.

Embryo Donation

I recently travelled to Athens for an embryo transfer with Dr Douliotis. Having failed treatment twice this was my last resort. Dr Douliotis was amazing from the initial consultation; the communication was prompt and advice was immediate at a press of the button. I have the most painless and amazing treatment by the consultant and the team at serum. They were friendly, kind positive and I would return again. I can thank them enough for coming with me on this journey. My pregnancy test was positive and I’m so excited but more so I look back and think I had a great treatment. The team the coordinated the transport from the airport were amazing and I stayed for a few days to enjoy Athens. The follow up following treatment was excellent with a clear structured programme but also help at hand from the consultant; it’s very person-centred care. I can’t believe they do this for all the patients they have. Great people and great care. The experience and expertise of Dr Douliotis was evident, his great kindness and very professional. I paid well less for the treatments compared to London and the medications were delivered promptly. Thank you Dr Douliotis and the team at serum, I will always be grateful!

What you will read in those reviews is 100% true. Dr. Douliotis is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever encountered in my life. Since day one he has treated me with such care, professionalism, respect and kindness. My surgery (labiaplasty) went really well and he and his team made sure I was well informed and prepared. My recovery was quick and never painful. I had regular follow up and after-care appointments with him and he was always available for any further questions or medical advices.I am extremely happy with the results and grateful to Dr. Douliotis and his team. I highly recommend him and will not hesitate to come back for future treatments if ever needs be. My only regret is that he doesn’t practice in Canada.
