Prof. Dr. Nilgün Turhan has experience in IVF for over 30 years and she is a renowned expert in the field of infertility and assisted reproductive technologies. Besides the patients who have infertility problems and those who need IVF she is also dealing with the patients with any Gynecologic and Obstetrics problems.

After graduating from Ankara University Medical School-Turkey in 1983, Prof. Dr. Nilgün Turhan specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1989. She was awarded by Italian Government Scholarship for Fellowship Programme in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization Unit (IVF)- Universita degli Studi di Modena-Italia, Istituto di Clinica e Ginecologica, Divisione di Sterilita e FIVET, Italy between 1990-1991. She was also a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and In Vitro Fertilization Unit Zekai Tahir Burak Maternity Hospital, Ankara-Turkey between 1991-1993.

She became an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1994 and Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000.

She was the Director and the founder of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and IVF Unit of Fatih University Medical School in Ankara. The worked in these Units between 1996-2011.

She was the Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Health Institute in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University between 2011-2015.

She worked at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and İnfertility and IVF Unit of Liv Hospital September 2015- April 2016.

Since 2016 she is accepting her patients in private clinic in İstanbul.

She has more than 135 international selected peer reviewed publications, more than 100 poster and oral presentations at International Congresses, more than 100 publications at national journals, more than 100 poster and oral presentations at national Congresses and 14 chapters Her publications were cited more than 400 times.
