Vaccination

I took my 17month old son for his first (of 2) chicken pox injections. Although chicken pox is seen as childhood disease with minimal harm, I chose to have my son vaccinated due to the added stress and pressure it would cause our family if he was to be ill for 1-2 weeks, as it would mean unpaid leave from work.The price of the 2 injections is much lower than 1-2 weeks off work and paid but unused nursery fees. I was recommended SurreyGP by fellow mum who had taken her little one for the same reason. It was easy to book and get an appointment at relatively short notice - far easier than getting a normal GP appointment at my usual surgery.You are provided with very clear and helpful information on arrival, parking, location and where to go once inside. Especially helpful was the info on there not being space / buggy accessibility.There was a friendly welcome, a very short wait in the waiting room, a very kind and efficient female doctor. The doctor took me through a family history, any concerns I had, the potential (unlikely) side effects and then did the injection. My son recovered very quickly from the surprise of the injection and was given a sticker for being so brave.

...so glad you were pleased with the service; we have a lot to live up to every time somebody comes to our surgery and no more so than when you come on the recommendation of a friend! As for the sticker....well that was because of some feedback we got from a mum about 7 years ago....we love listening to you and always want to do better!

Antibiotic and Antifungal Treatment

They took a very pragmatic approach even though we were out of hours and some distance away. We received a quick diagnosis and were able to collect prescription medicine which helped resolve the issue so life could go on. It was a huge relief to find someone who was happy to help and not obstructive.

Wonderful service by Dr Lewis kind extremely experienced and able to there and then talk to consultants, lab test technician ect and start getting things sorted. The office service with reports, appointments also excellent

Blood Test, GP Consultation

Check up and blood test I was given an immediate appointment by a polite and professional receptionist. Dr. Lewis quickly put me at my ease and after listening carefully to all my concerns suggested a blood test. I received a copy of the blood test results the next day with an explanation and a suggestion that I telephone and discuss the results further. I couldn't be more pleased with my treatment at Surrey GP and would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

We are very glad to have helped and thanks for the feedback about the reception team too, it's appreciated. The ability to have a blood test taken at your appointment and the results back to you within a very short space of time is the service level we aspire to. Glad it worked for you this time.

Acute pain right hip.Immediately [on a Saturday ] x-ray arranged, 1/2 hr later at local hospital; followed by radiologist report on Monday and consultant appointment, within 3 days. Exceptional! Clinic very well appointed [only criticism, totally no male interest, news, sports magazines]. Terrific, efficient organisation from practice manager, in all respects [SMT about appointments, almost instantaneously whilst on telephone], very friendly and welcoming.Only matched by speed, friendliness and efficiency of Dr. R. Lewis.A wonderful example of local doctors of yesteryear!

Pre-Employment Medicals

I attended Surrey GP for an extensive medical examination for a new job. It was an excellent experience from the initial booking to after service. The administrative service was excellent and so was the professionalism of Dr. Lewis. I highly recommend Surrey GP.
