The facility is registered with all major insurance companies. The facility has three fully equipped treatment rooms and a pilates and exercise studio. All musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions and post operative care are treated in this clinic.

Leyland Physiotherapy has now invested in a shockwave machine.Shockwave delivers high intensity sound waves into chronic tissue. This leads to a cascade of beneficial effects including increased blood flow, cellular activity, stimulation of collagen, dissolution of calcium and pain relief.NICE 2009 have recommended shockwave therapy as a treatment approach certainly for Tennis elbow, Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles, it is thought that it might stimulate healing of tendons. Visited the centre to resolve pain in my right leg and hip area which had got progressively worse over a 3-4 week period and was restricting walking over relatively short distances without feeling pain, particularly in the calf area. The treatment has been running for about 3 weeks and I have seen a steady improvement each week and am gradually extending my walking distances supported by an exercise regime. Would definitely recommend this treatment to anyone with similar symptoms. The clinic are very professional and knowledgeable. They take comprehensive notes regarding your treatment and discuss all options available to you, whilst developing the appropriate treatment plan. The plan is supported by a series of recommended home exercises designed to assist in the gradual healing process of the affected muscles, nerves etc. Thee is no pressure to undertake a set number of treatments and the flexible approach means you can jointly discuss your programme and adjust where necessary by using their expertise and experience.

Physiotherapist Consultation

I have been struggling with a foot problem for several weeks and was so grateful to be offered an appointment with Michelle. Due to the covid-19 virus the surgery has carried out impressive precautions in order to be able to treat patients. The timing of appointments has been organised to ensure there is no contact with other patients. I was given a face mask to wear and hand sanitiser was available throughout the consultation. The surgery and equipment is cleaned after each patient. My treatment was extremely thorough and diagnosis given which was an incredible relief. My very grateful thanks to Michelle and the extremely hard work done to ensure the service at Leyland Physiotherapy remains top quality.
