I specialize in the treatment of patients with complex problems of pain or disability that have not responded to traditional physiotherapy, chiropractic and osteopathic treatment. My interest in why treatment has not been successful led me to embark on a Diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. I now treat using this technique almost exclusively because it addresses the whole person, mind and body. In life if we are not able to process events at the time the body stores them up until we are, some of us carry many layers of unprocessed soft tissue tightness rather like the layers of an onion. In the body this can cause congestion, around which the body has an enormous capacity to compensate but often to its detriment leading to pathology and disease. Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy treatment works with the health in the body to process the layers, which once shed do not return. Treatment effect is therefore long term. As a Chartered Physiotherapist I am passionate about teaching patients skills that enable them to maintain their improvement independently rather than being reliant on a therapist.
