Dr. Lefteris comes from a family of doctors; both his parents and 3 uncles are doctors, so medicine is a kind of family tradition. He was born in Athens from a Cypriot father and a Greek mother. When he was three, the family moved to Cyprus.Following the successful completion of the Pancyprian Gymnasium high school in Nicosia, he was admitted in the famous Medical School of Vienna University. He finished his medical degree in 1971 and was given the title of Doctor of Medicine.
