Dr. J.Ģīlis has been practicing in plastic and reconstructive surgery since 1985, and prior to the foundation of his private clinic worked in Latvian Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery Center.

He has graduated from the Latvian Academy of Medicine specializing in microsurgery. He did research and his dissertation on microsurgical treatments was held in 1988. He has improved his qualification and knowledge in different clinics in the USA and Canada.

Dr. J.Ģīlis is a regular participant of International Conferences and workshops on plastic, laser and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. J.Ģīlis works as a lecturer at the Medical Department of Latvia University, and Riga’s School of Cosmetics.

In 1992 Dr. J.Ģīlis established his private clinic, which specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and is performing facial and reconstructive surgery using state-of-the-art medical equipment.

I am a tourist and found Dr Gilis while searching the internet. His staff responded immediately to my inquiry about an appointment and spoke English. The clinic is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Riga and is very easy to find. The staff is professional, efficient, and kind. Dr Gilis is great! He is knowledgeable and very good at what he does. I felt quite comfortable with him and with the staff, and knew I was in good hands the minute I entered the clinic. The charge for services was very reasonable which was a big plus in my book! I give the clinic a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10!

Ear Pinning I was a patient at this clinic a few years ago for ear correction, I had it done twice in the UK at the leading clinic, both times were a complete failure (rubbish) went to Dr. Gilis and what a difference, totally what I wanted! the clinic is very relaxed and the staff and Doctors so friendly. Absolutely 100%

From the very onset if contacting the clinic. I have to stay what a 1st class service I have received. Professional in every way, I am so impressed with how easy it was to book my procedures. Delighted to say the Surgeon Mr Janis Lapins listened and understood what I wanted and needed from my surgery. I am now 8 weeks post-op, And I am so pleased with the results. So I would like to thank Janis and the whole team who were there for me 24/7. The aftercare service is second to none. Much superior to anything you will find in the UK in my opinion.Thank you Dr Janis Lapins and your Team I cannot praise you enough I cannot believe how fabulous my results are at 8 weeks post op.

Breast Implants

I had implant change,excellent! If you want trusting and experienced doctor here is the place! My sister had breast implants last year done buy other place, she was so badly bruised both rib sides were swollen and she couldn't do anything for a month. I had surgery at this hospital and I'm glad I didn't choose other place. Doctor is guiding you for a best natural results and I'm after surgery 10 days and I feel excellent and my new breasts look awesome !!!The clinic is superb, they are feeding you and nurses are like angels, as soon you call button they ready to serve you. Everyone is happy and cheering I had other surgery at Poland. The doctor there was just giving you 10 minutes to talk, didn't explain everything, but Janis at this surgery is different. Janis cares about his patients and gives as much time you need, explains you what is best for you and even has time for jokes. So, I hope my story will help for someone to make decision and choose the best place :). I give 100% positive
