Associate Professor Ayhan Işık Erdal is a plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon with extensive international experience and a strong academic background. He completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English Program), graduating with Honors in 2013. He completed his Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, becoming a board-certified specialist in 2019.
During different stages of his career, Ayhan Işık Erdal, MD, FACS, FEBOPRAS served as an International Clinical Observer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 2018 and later as an International Visiting Physician at Ghent University Hospital in Belgium in 2023. He holds the FEBOPRAS (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) title and is also certified by the Turkish Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TPRECD), reflecting his status as a double-board certified plastic surgeon according to both European and Turkish standards.
Recognized for his academic productivity, Dr. Erdal has authored more than 30 scientific publications in respected international journals and serves as a peer reviewer for high-impact international scientific journals. While serving as a faculty member at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2024. In 2025, he was honored with the FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons) title during the official ceremony held in Chicago.
Dr. Erdal performs the full spectrum of aesthetic surgical procedures, with particular focus on facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, breast aesthetics, and body contouring surgeries. He has been welcoming patients at his private practice in Istanbul.
