Born in Izmir in 1976, Dr. Murat Songu entered Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 after his graduation from İzmir Atatürk High School. He completed his specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology at Celal Bayar University.

In the year 2005, in Bordeaux, France, he performed rhinologic and otologic surgeries with Dr. Guy Lacher at St. Augustin Clinic and with Prof. Vincent Darrouzet at the University of Bordeaux.

In the year 2006, again in Bordeaux, France, he performed skull base surgery, cochlear implantation (bionic ear) and cerebellum corner tumor surgery with Dr. Didier Portmann at the Institut Georges Portmann Clinic and with Prof. Vincent Darrouzet at Pellegrin Hospital affiliated with Bordeaux University.

In the year 2008, he started to work as an Ear Nose and Throat Diseases Specialist at İzmir Dr Behçet Uz Child Disease and Pediatric Surgery Training and Research Hospital. In the same year, he was assigned to ENT Clinic of İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital.

Prof. Dr. Murat Songu, more than 100 internationally and nationally published scientific studies; He contributed to the national and international medical literature almost every day with numerous international and national papers, 8 international book chapters, 9 national book chapters and invited participation in nearly 100 scientific events.

Circulation from physicians with the highest H-index and i10-index values among Turkish scientists, with a total number of international citations around 1700. The consequences of the events in question also led to various international publishing responsibilities. In many journals, assistant editors, section editors, editorial board members and referees serve simultaneously.

Dr. Murat Songu worked with dedication and effort all day long for a long period of 10 letters in hospitals with the busiest workload in Turkey and increased the specialization of nearly 100 ENT staff.

He continues to work at Songu Clinic, founded by Prof. Dr. Murat Songu, who is married and has two children (Ayşe Songu, Selim Songu).
