Mr EL Gawad then offers you a two-week cooling off period, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) in order to consider the options/information and make an informed decision about your care.

You will be given the opportunity of further consultation at no extra charge to assist you in making an informed decision about your treatment.

Following your operation, Mr El-Gawad will always visit you on the ward. Also, a further two follow-up appointments are included.

The full treatment journey, from the first consultation until discharge, is performed exclusively by your surgeon, Mr EL Gawad.

Where do I begin? Mr El Gawad is a charming gentleman and a brilliant surgeon who takes his work and continuing professional development very seriously. It is clear from both his demeanour and that of every member of his team that they have the utmost respect and consideration for their clients and for each other. Everyone, from Mr El Gawad to the domestic staff, was kind and caring at all times. I felt that I was in the safest and most capable hands from the first time I met Mr El Gawad. He was able to answer all my questions (I had prepared quite a few) and met with me on two separate occasions before I booked my operation. I never felt under any pressure. In fact, I actually felt confident that I had chosen the best surgeon during our first meeting, having seen some images of his previous surgeries and from chatting with him. I was not disappointed with my decision. I had my surgery (full abdominoplasty with liposuction and abdominal muscle repair) at Whiston Hospital which is a high-tech, modern hospital with a dedicated plastics department (I believe it’s the second largest in the UK). Every aspect of my stay at the hospital was excellent. The standard of care was exceptional from every member of staff. I am convinced that was the reason I recovered very quickly; I had my surgery on a Saturday, I was completely free of painkillers by the following Tuesday and back home on a Thursday. It has been four months since my operation and I feel fantastic! I am fit and strong although I am still not allowed to lift heavy weights or do abdominal crunches which is simply a sensible precaution. I should mention that not only do I have a flat tummy which is great but I also have a very tidy and natural-looking relocated belly button and perfectly symmetrical abdominal scar which is hidden nicely behind my new bikini briefs which I was unable to wear pre-op. Mr El Gawad is an artist when it comes to “contouring” because my tummy and flanks are beautifully smooth; even better than pre-childbirth! Mr El Gawad’s Secretary, Rachel, also deserves a mention as she was and continues to be very friendly, helpful and accessible, always striving to provide excellent customer service. I could go on and on. I just wish that I had had the surgery years ago. I am more than happy to recommend Mr Plastic Surgeon.

I recently enquired with Mr El Gawad regarding a ptosis of my upper left eyelid. Mr El Gawad’s secretary Rachel was extremely helpful and responded to my enquiry very quickly. She helped me to arrange a video consultation with Mr El Gawad within a day and couldn’t do enough to assist. In my consultation with Mr El Gawad he was very honest in all his advice and what he thought was the best course of action for me. I really felt as though he cared about my health and wanted to help me resolve my issue in the correct way, even though this meant suggesting holding off on surgery for now. As Mr El Gawad suggested I ask my GP for a referral to a neurologist, he was happy to provide me with a letter to assist with this and didn’t ask for a penny in return! I can’t fault the service I have received from both Mr El Gawad and Rachel, should I need further assistance in the future I would not hesitate to come back.

Breast Implants

I am about a week and a half post op of breast augmentation surgery I'm feeling great and my boobs look AMAZING! When I started researching I was looking at some big clinics around Manchester but felt that they were like cattle markets so started looking closer to home. I chose The Beaumont hospital as I had been there as an NHS patient and liked the feel of the place. I started researching plastic surgeons and decided on Mr El-Gawad and after my first consultation, I knew I had picked the right surgeon for me. I got nothing but honesty from Mr El-Gawad, he gave me all my options and we discussed everything I wanted from my surgery. Mr El Gawad is such a lovely man and his guidance has been exceptional. The nurses at this hospital were great and Mr El-Gawads secretary Rachel has been my lifeline for any questions every step of my journey I feel like I have known her for ages as she always sends me messages to check on my progress. I also received a bunch of flowers a few days after my surgery which was the loveliest gesture. The day of my surgery I was put completely at ease despite being nervous when I first arrived. I honestly can't fault any part of what this team of people have done and have already recommended them on other forums that I have been on.

Wow-what an experience I have had with Mr Elgaward and his team! A wonderful one at that. For the last few years, I have been visiting Mr Elgaward after having breast surgery done by another surgeon in Manchester that did not go to plan and had left me in a real mess.I went to see Mr Elgaward after my first breast surgery with another surgeon and he said how upset he was with that the surgeon had done to me. How expensive it would be for me to correct the work that the surgeon has done and for me to go back where I had originally had it done for them to rectify. Rather than his own self-gain with pocketing money from me he suggested I went back to who did my surgery in the first instance. Sadly second time round with the same surgeon and my results only looked worse. Straight to Mr Elgaward, I went knowing I would not trust anyone else to perform surgery on me again! I was worried. I thought maybe surgery is just not for me! My body doesn’t handle it well or something. Mr Elgaward reassured me I would be fine in his care and I certainly have been. He was honest, sincere, kind and understanding throughout all my time in his care. I arrived for my surgery on Tuesday morning and within half an hour I had my pre-op and was ready for theatre. I was calm as I knew I was in the best hands possible! I awoke from my surgery after a few hours.Come 10:30 pm at night Mr Elgaward was still there visiting his patients checking upon them. How lovely! He must have been so tired after being at work for 7 am! I received a lovely bunch of flowers on day 3 post-op from Rachel and Mr Elgaward which were so beautiful and the card I shall keep. Thank you for everything you have all done for me. I am 4 days post-op now from a breast uplift, muscle repair, hernia repair lipo and tummy tuck. My breast implant and uplift I had on its own with the last surgeon was a million times worse than all of these surgeries put together.I have not been on any painkillers after my surgery with Mr Elgaward I am in slight discomfort but I imagined it to be a lot worse than it is. I can not stand 100% straight just yet but I gather soon I shall be.I am shouting from the rooftops for people to not think twice about surgery with Mr Elgaward and his team. If anyone can fix you it is he! I am so so happy I went to Mr Elgaward.I can’t wait to see my results in a few weeks time and finally be able to go swimming with my children. Thank goodness my loose skin has been put in the bin for good!On a final note; Rachel his secretary has also been a lovely lady. Rachel seemed just as excited as me for my surgery with messaging me a count down of days I had left until it was finally my turn. She would respond to any queries really quickly and has been so caring. You have given me a life I only imagined I would have! I can’t wait to see my before and after pictures and share them with you all.

*Full Tummy Tuck with Hernia Repair*I've spent the last five years researching to find a surgeon who I could trust to carry out my procedure. Mr El Gawad is a very gifted professional gentleman who made me feel comfortable and in safe hands from the very first meeting to my ongoing care as I'm currently five weeks post-op and the results are amazing!I would say mine was a challenging repair, a large piece of apron skin was removed and I now have a perfectly flat stomach and neat belly button I can be proud of after three previous c sections. Scar Removal

Lovely hospital great doctor. I was a very nervous patient but Dr El Gawad reassured me every step of the way. I was initially worried about the scarring on black skin. I had heard about Ketoid and had them form on my scars as a child. The thought of having a keloid scar was what scared me the most. I am proud to confirm 8-week post-op that the scar is hardly there. The Incision is so tidy. I found the clinic's atmosphere very relaxing and the staff generally very helpful. Great experience all around I can’t fault anything.

Full Abdominoplasty, Areola Reduction

I was reviewed by Mr EL-Gawad following my request for a second opinion to potentially carry out corrective surgery for a previous abdominoplasty & breast augmentation with uplift I had undergone in February 2017. From my first consultation in November 2018, I felt reassured that moving forward with treatment options, a clear plan & giving me time to reflect on what had been discussed in order to make a decision & exploring further the possibility of surgery was going to be the right choice.I had my second consultation with Mr EL-Gawad in May this year due to planned family holidays, work commitments & thinking the decision through. I cannot recommend Mr Ahmed more, from my first consultation, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Ahmed understood exactly what I wanted and what would look right and natural for my shape. He took his time to explain everything regarding the procedure. On the day of my surgery he spent time talking to me beforehand and making sure I felt relaxed, he also visited me afterwards whilst I was recovering. I couldn’t be happier with the results and my confidence has increased so much. The nurses at BMI Beaumont were so lovely and checked on me regularly.
