I recently had upper eyelid surgery performed by Mr Anthony Barabas at his Fenstanton Clinic. From the very first consultation appointment, through the procedure and subsequent follow appointments everything was carried out with complete professionalism in a calm and caring environment. I am delighted with the results which have given me a fresh natural appearance and a renewed confidence. I choose Mr Barabas mainly because I knew of his expertise as an NHS consultant as I worked in the same hospital. Also, I had read reviews from his previous cosmetic procedures and they were very positive. I was very happy with the cost of the treatment and would recommend him as a very experienced Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon, and would certainly choose him to undertake any further procedures should I require them.

It has been 7 days since I had the skin tags removed from my right eyelid. I'm happy to say that the area of the eyelid has completely healed with no visible marks. At the same time Anthony Barabas removed a mole from the top of my head, all included in the cost, this too is healing very well. I'm very happy with the treatment I received.

Full tummy tuck with muscle repairFitzwilliam hospital Peterborough From first consultations to post surgery visit I have to give this doctor the credit he deserves .Even though it is early days and I am not actually able to comment on my procedure as a whole in the respect of end result. that would be nearly a years time to give an exact honest one. I can say I had a few consultations up and down the country but when I went so see mr Barabas I felt comfortable immediately I didn't have to ask a lot of questions as most of them was addressed through his explanation of procedure I was given my realistic outcome did not feel patronised as I found this a lot along my consult journey and there was no flapping around with the cons of surgery scarring risks etc .I actually booked my procedure that day that is how at ease I felt and that I needn't look no further.I have been in contact with this doctor regularly pre op with any questions you know the little things that pop in your head like I wonder or did I ask that he has replied directly and same day .This I felt most assuring as most people would have wanted anything like especially in a demanding job such as his through a secretary etc this gave a clear message of dedicated involvement personally which helped with the trust issue everyone has being operated on in such a big way by someone you are entrusting in. Well op day came I attended the fitzwilliam clinic that I will review seperatly as I have a different review of the hospital I would like to keep that completely different from this mr Barabas was along to see me straight away went over everything one last time like a second consultation making sure we were both reading from same story sheet if you like then he marked up the offending area and gave me post surgical instructions while I was still coherent I suppose and went himself to prep. Anethsetist came along who was great made me feel at ease and along I went to theatre 45 mins after arriving. I woke up with little pain even though I had a bad coughing fit I'm guessing this was to do with breathing tube etc I felt nothing but a little supper around my waist I was shocked as I had geared up to be in agony I was very comfortable which suggest to me I wasn't ragged about to roughly to put it bluntly .given plenty of local to help with pain in theatre. I'm a now 4 days post op not much has changed and I'm guessing local has ran out as i am feeling excision stitches and muscle twitching in little places here and there not painful to note but i was numb before .now anything else that hurts is as a result of posture you have to arch you back when you walk and keep you knees up when laying / sitting I avoid anything that put strain on any of my tummy area you realise how much you use your core for little things so it's a good idea to build some strength up through other muscle groups before strength building especially lower back and thighs beforehand will help a lot as you will using these muscle groups more you will be putting extra strain on these you don't want be adding to pain if you can address this before Just a word of advice for those pre planners .mr Barabas visited me in recovery to give me a little run over what he had done and was along to my room in the morning first thing to see how I felt I was well enough to go home after so he didn't have time to come again but did telephone clinic and also emailed meWith my dressing change apointment . This review is long winded but I wanted to be as detailed as possible knowing how I was for information iwill update when I seeMoreToward a finish result.if anyone is in two minds of using this surgeon or not sure of another surgeon just go for a consultation I promise you need to seeThis man before you make your mind up I am very hard to please by the way and wouldn't have even bothered to review if I wasn't as impressedAs I am xx

I met Dr Barabas in January to discuss the options of cosmetic surgery and to decide the best approach, I instantly felt comfortable and trusted what he was saying, I particularly appreciated his honesty and directness in managing my expectations on any surgical procedure we discussed and his approach to pointing out the pros and cons. Throughout the consultation and consequent discussions, Mr Barabas was always extremely helpful and understanding and always gave his honest and frank opinion on the topics discussed. I met several other surgeons in the beginning stages of my investigations and Mr Barabas was the only surgeon I felt genuinely cared for and had my best interests at the forefront of his decisions, I proceeded to have liposuction and gynecomastia surgery which was completed recently.Mr Barabas has always been on hand to answer any questions I have and put my mind at ease and when I arrived at the hospital he made sure everything was explained to me in regards to the plan for surgery.
