Procedures:

The Mini Gastric Bypass is a less invasive procedure and requires less time for surgery and recovery, with the same benefits than the regular bypass. The technique for this surgery creates a narrow gastric tube that is attached to the small intestine approximately five feet (200cm) from its starting point, a placement that bypasses the highly absorptive section of the intestine without the necessity of a second intestinal reconnection.

The Gastric Sleeve. This procedure achieves weight loss results by restricting the amount of food that your body is physically able to take in. It involves removing a large portion of the stomach, anywhere from 60% to 85% of the total stomach. The portion left behind is a "sleeve" that will serve as your new stomach. No rerouting of the intestines is needed and there are no malabsorption secondary effects.

The Gastric Bypass is a weight loss surgery that involves both restrictive and malabsorptive technique to achieve weight loss. Involves separating the stomach into a smaller, upper pouch and a larger, lower section, while the small intestine is divided and rerouted.

The Gastric Balloon. A soft and flexible silicone sphere is inserted in the stomach of the patient, by endoscopy, in order to achieve weight reduction. Its main mechanism is to generate a feeling of fullness or early satiety so the person lowers the consumption of food, which in turn simplifies the process of weight loss. In some cases it can be the first step to a weight loss surgery.
