First class experience all the way. From the moment I enquired to the airport pick up, to the hospital/surgery and aftercare everything was 5 stars. I had a gastric sleeve op. on the 1st november '22. Was well informed by staff and had a videocall with Dr. Gungor Gul, for I was a bit nervous before leaving for Istanbul Turkey. I went to this clinic for bariatric surgery didn't know what they would find as I had a band removed (fitted and removed in Uk) I picked this clinic after researching the surgeon Mr Michevecius who also works in the UK and was registered with GMC. Pre-surgery I had unlimited contact with Justina who answered my million questions and booked me taxis and hotel. I had a face time session with the surgeon and we discussed my options and thought process behind why and what I wanted. When I went to Kaunas I had no idea what to expect and I did think "why am I doing this" but after visiting the clinic was at ease. I met Jogalia and Kirstina who were superb and talked me through what was happening I had blood taken weight taken an ECG and an endoscopy. After that to a bedroom in the clinic where I met the surgeon and we went through my surgery choices. My anaesthetist came in lovely young lady talked me through what she was going to do and put me at ease before she knocked me out for my op. I then went through for my surgery and woke up back in my room. I had plenty of checks from the nursing staff who are extremely caring. The surgeon came to say all went well and I got the surgery of my choice. I stayed two nights in the hospital and Mr Michevecius would check in on me and also call up the staff to ensure my recovery. After I was checked up I was released and went to my hotel but decided to go a little walk. I felt tired but I was in no pain, in fact, less pain than when I had my band in the UK. I received texts from Justina checking up on me to ensure I wasn't overdoing it and that I was ok. I had surgery on monday flew back the Saturday and still in contact with the team. The whole process was easily understood there were lots of discussions it was not just a transaction. The cost of this surgery is half price of the UK this was not my main driver for going abroad. When I had my band fitted in the UK and it failed the NHS bounced me around not wanting to touch anything as it was done privately albeit an NHS surgeon it was bonkers. Without hesitation, I would recommend the clinic surgeon and team. The clinic is immaculate the team professional and the service exceptional. Your health is their main priority and I felt that from the get-go. I am 5 weeks post op down 25lbs 2 dress sizes off 2 high bp meds and wounds all healed. I still contact my nutritionist Edvard with questions which he responds to quickly. A big thank you to the team. read more

For years and years ive struggled with weight loss... i had to do something that will give me a strong result. I investigated all the diffrent weightloss methods, and after 6 months ive finally made the decision. I was following alot of doctors on instragram, spoke to alot but doctor Gurdal Oren and his team was the the one i had my eyes on :) After research, speaking to his patients and gathering feedback, i pushed the button and set my date... To add to that, This isnt the easy option its your final decision, no one will understand how obesity can destroy you unless they are going through it themself! Going to Turkey for a life changing step would be petrifying for anyone but a few days before my operation we went watched the footie match, done our shopping, did our site seeing (was a huge stress lifter) then finally took a step in the hospital my heart pounded from excitement.. Then before i knew it i was packing my bags to head back home... If you are reading my review all i can say is from A to Z the team has been a beauty and im so proud of being Gurdal Orens patient! I have NO REGRETS and i am sooo happy with my decision... 2018 has been my year, years and years of promises to lose weight and be a healthier person is becoming true i am 7 weeks pre op and with no regrets I can say I HAVE MADE THE BEST DECISION... I was a very unhealthy, unhappy man weighing 149.23 kg. At 46 years old I had my first heart attack. At 48 years old I was diagnosed with angina. My weight was killing me. In September 2022 the NHS turned me down for Surgery for the 4th time. I knew someone local who had been to Turkey and lost a huge amount of weight so I went to see him and I got the contact details. I sent a message via instagram to Dr Metin Karadeniz and Sezen, his co-ordinator got straight back to me via WhatsApp. She answered all my questions without hesitation, checking details with doctors about my heart issues and medication. We agreed to schedule surgery for the following week. I booked the flights and 5 days later they picked me up from Izmir airport. I was taken to a decent hotel for the first night and then they took me to the hospital the next morning. Sezen met me there and took me to see all the different doctors for every test you can imagine. Heart, lungs, x-ray, ultrasound, mental health: everything was checked. I felt well cared for and the level of professionalism was excellent. I met Dr Metin Karadeniz before the operation and we had a chat. I felt completely at ease. I went down early afternoon and woke up back in my private hospital room. I was walking a few hours later with very minimal pain. The staff came and checked on me regularly and gave me IV fluids. I spent the next three days in hospital, walking and following their post operative regime. When Dr Metin discharged me I went back to the hotel for a few days, enjoying walking around Ismir. I went for a checkup at his clinic with him and the nutritionist before returning home to England. It has now been 10 weeks since surgery and I have lost 30.39kg! I feel so much healthier, I no longer have sleep apnea, my cholesterol has come down from 6.7 to 3.5, my HbA1c is down to 33. My BMI was 46.94 and is now 35.8. I was a 48” waist and I’m now a 40”.This has been the best gift I have ever given myself. It has saved my life. If you are big/unhappy/struggling……. Don’t hesitate. It’s not a magic wand and the new lifestyle isn’t easy but it is life-changing. Thank you to the whole team. read more

I had gastric sleeve surgery at Clinic Center and it was beyond my expectations. I had a wonderful experience! A lot more than I was expecting! First I was afraid but after the surgery, I had no pain at all. The clinic staff was very careful and the doctor was amazing. All transfers and the hotel services were great as well. From the moment I made contact, I knew I was in good hands. Aurelija was my main contact and answered emails quickly and efficiently and on arrival last week everything had been perfectly planned for me, from pick up to COVID test, blood, ECG etc. The clinic is modern and immaculate, it was pictures that I saw when researching that made me choose this clinic, as well as their very friendly Facebook group and reviews. Flying overseas for such a big op isn’t what I would have initially chosen but it was half the price of the UK, with a surgeon I had enormous confidence in and a clinic cleaner than any you would find in the UK.Meeting the surgeon and the anaesthetist the day before adds to the reassurance, as does the non-judgementally welcome from when you walk in.I was incredibly nervous on surgery day, again, everything was well planned and the staff were lovely. I had the gastric sleeve and when I came round I felt incredibly sick but was given lots of anti-sickness drugs and plenty of reassurance. I stayed 2 nights in the most comfortable hospital bed and received 1st class care (plus a few laughs) during this time.
