I went in for a root canal on August 30th and for the crown one week later on September 6th. Dr Escalante is the best dentist I've ever had and I've seen him several times over the last twenty years or more. He can do an almost perfectly painless root canal in one hour and install the crown a few days later in usually less time, and all for a *much* lower price than one would pay just for the insurance deductible in the US, even less if you pay in cash He gets a rating of 200% from me! Clinica Dental is very pleasant, with an air-conditioned waiting room, an extra sitting room full of historical pictures of Tijuana and a friendly, professional and bilingual staff. It is a $5 taxi ride from the border or at most a one-hour walk in nice weather. They are always punctual and I've never had to wait more than a short time if others are ahead of me. There are five chairs in the office but not often all in use at the same time.I have been to some of the other many dentists in Tijuana but once I discovered Clinica Dental it became the only one I go to. read more

We went to Happy Mouth Dental as we known the office manager Christian from a previous office. Chris has been taking care of us for 9+ years so when he switched to a new office we moved with him. We were very pleased to meet Dr Hector and Dra. Grissel a husband and wife team who took great care of us. Both myself and husband Bill had great experiences and will be back again this 2025 year. Bill had three fillings done as well as a cleaning and we are looking at veneers for him in the future. Christian takes great care of us and all the paperwork and he met us at the boarder crossing so that we could find the new office. I came to put a couple of implants on my frontal teeth. They explained to me about bone loss and my diferent options, my mouth was a mess and now I have a full restored mouth, and just a couple of apointments I have all my teeth now. Today is 04/27/21, I wanted to give it at least 5 days before I wrote this review, I just got back from my procedure. This will be an in-depth, point by point of how-to and what to do. Transfer your usd into pesos! First, let me say that I have been talking to him on and off for more than a year, I finally got my funds together to make it out there...Please please understand that yeah, I was incredibly nervous, crossing into another country, language barrier, being duped financially by cabs...Etc. So I will go into the ways to ease your fears, and the best way financially to navigate out there. So, as promised I was given a few days in a hotel on their dime, which was right across the street, and I ended up heading back to us in san ysd, at the motel 6, which was a half-mile walk to the border...Great hotel, reasonable price, clean.. (rent a car!!) you can park at the 99cent store and walk across the border, (so you don't have to walk from hotel or pay the $8 to park next to McD's) and he will send a cab for you after you cross the border walking... (tip about $5 USD) its much better. I ended up spending about $490 for 6 days at the motel 6 in san ysd, trust it's worth it. Now to the dr, to say that it was way beyond my expectations honestly would be an understatement! ( I came there from Ohio) the process was good, the work was second to none!! He and his staff were incredibly helpful, easy to work with, calming, friendly and explained each step of the way. Now I know you wanna no the real thing. The price was absolutely incredible! If you're like me, you have done hours upon hours of homework, the price in the US would easily creep into the tens of thousands! (just google) this guy. Wow...He's god-sent, I researched and researched, and something in my spirit said "Go with him", and I could have not been happier!I actually shed tears, cause I had no idea what the finished product, and I was scared... But wow was I freaking blown away!!! I promise you will not find a better person to work with! In fact, im going back to get some other stuff done... Oh... If you don't have a passport,(mind u there are restrictions today) just tell customs that you're going for dental, and they will charge u a $20 day pass... , keep ur receipts with you when u hit the border! So I ended up paying $40 in total crossing the border. Well worth it! You get the comfort of being back in the states for a few days, moving around... And not feeling out of place cause you can't speak the language...And you get to sightsee...(rent a car!!!) to have your smile back...Is absolutely indescribable! It's like....You get your life back. I have nothing but raves for him and his staff! Listen...This is 2021... You can go somewhere else and take a chance... Or go with him, and get the freakin best treatment! read more

Best dentist in town! I was pleasantly surprised by Dr.Jacobo's professionalism and dedication. He and his assistant took great care of me! Dr.Jacobo explained every single of his maneuvers and was extremely gentle making sure I would not feel any pain. I was blown away and I highly recommend him without hesitation. A piece of my back molar cracked and fell off. Was recommended to Dr Karen by a couple of people in the RV Park I was residing at in Yuma. I emailed the clinic and received a response right away and an appt was set up for the following week. Great communication including exact details how to get to the clinic. Once I arrived the process was pretty quick. The staff was very professional and Dr Karen was very kind and gentle always making sure I was comfortable as well as explaining every detail during the procedure. I ended up having a crown so first visit was to have a temp crown and then went back 2 days later and had the permanent crown put on. Very knowledgeable with great communication. The best part wathe s price, a quarter of what I would have paid to get it done in Canada. Now…..I didn’t get out of Los Algodones without supporting the locals so a win win for everyone. read more
