We are located in the Hotel Zone of Cancun and have been founded by Dr. Irma Gavaldon DDS MS AEGD, who wanted to provide dental tourists visiting Mexico with top quality medical care.

Dental Crowns

I called CDS in May 2020, my contact was Greg (who is incredible, professional, caring, funny and cute) who became my “Cancun Keeper”, as he shepherded me through the process from meeting me at the Clinic on the day my husband and I arrived at the Clinic and checked in several times each day to see if help and/or information was needed, and provided. I explained to Greg that I had pain in my jaw from TMJ and a broken front tooth. Greg suggested getting crowns on all my teeth which would alleviate the jaw pain as the new crowns would correct my bite. The price for the entire treatment (26 crowns and a night guard) was considerably less than half of what my US dentist quoted. I trusted Greg and signed up and was not asked for any payment until the treatment started. First there were x-rays of all sorts. Then came a consultation with Dr. Irma (who is knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and recommended proceeding) and Dr. Tony (who is so kind, caring, professional and is a perfectionist) did the procedure. The following day my old crowns were removed and my teeth prepared. The entire process (26 perfectly fitted crowns), from check in to completion, took 7 days. I probably should have stayed for 10-14 days to make the process a bit easier but with Cancun closed down for the virus, I’m just as glad that it was done quickly and well. Dr. Tony and his assistant, Francesca (who was so kind help to me, saw to my needs and even provided a blanket as the treatment room was quite chilly) worked tirelessly for hours each day to see that the process went correctly, quickly and precisely. In the end, I do recall saying to Dr. Tony, “I love you Dr. Tony”. Maggi was the financial professional and explained the costs and treatments in detail. At no time was there any “upselling” but she did ask if there was anything else that I wanted to have done. Carolina (at the front desk) always with greeted me in the morning and she also texted with my pickup times every day. Yes, They arrange transport to and from all your appointments and to and from the airport. The Clinic and the treatment rooms are state of the art and as clean as can be (and cleaned frequently). There are several dentists, specialists of every sort, a full-service lab so teeth can be created and changed quickly, and lots of support staff looking after the patients and checking in to see if the doctors needed any assistance. The website is comprehensive (I don’t think there is any dental/mouth-related issue they couldn’t correct) and all prices and available treatments are clearly explained on the Home Page with prices included...what a concept and not provided by most clinics. Don’t think of it as going to the dentist in Mexico, but instead having a lovely vacation in Cancun and getting excellent dental treatments as a very reasonable price. Did I mention that Greg was Fabulous!

From smaller details to the actual procedure Cancun Dental Specialists was great. Rides to and from the airport and appointments were provided with no issues. My initial consultation with a lovely female professional was thorough and she had my best interest in mind. For the procedure, Dr. Omar Lugo and his assistant were very professional, yet personable, and things appear to have gone very well. I have to return to get the implant abutments and crowns placed, but so far, so good!

Extractions, Dental Implants

I had 2 teeth extraction and implants. The old bridge over 3 teeth fell off and destroyed a healthy tooth. Additionally had a root canal over the infected tooth they found. Decided on this clinic first by thorough and detailed advice by a senior coordinator, Carlos. He represented the clinic very professionally among several other dental clinics I checked in Mexico. And of course, the price was unbelievable. Costed one-third of what would be in Alabama where I live!After my first visit, I’ve been extremely impressed with all the services and care Cancún Dental Specialist provided for me: pre-surgery consultation by a team of superior doctors and assistants, the surgery itself, aftercare, accounting manager who explained the procedures so well I thought she was a dentist herself! And drivers, receptionists, coordinator, concierge, cleaners everything and everyone! Of course, the cleanliness is more than perfect. They all are very professional, caring, and courteous. Just cannot say how good of an experience I’ve ever had at any dental clinic in my life! Will be looking forward to the next and final visit for crowns after 6 months.

Words cannot even begin to express my gratitude to the entire team at this amazing clinic. I had previously had composite resin veneers done somewhere else and I was not happy with my results and my experience there was also not the greatest. I came across Cancun Dental Specialists whole doing online research on affordable and great dental clinics. Once I filled out an online consultation form I got a call back the next day from Greg Sanchez. Now Greg has been beyond amazing, he not only helped calm down my initial doubts but was extremely helpful in getting me set up with the procedures I was looking to have done, right down to transportation. Once I decided that I was going to them (Cancun Dental Specialists), Greg Sanchez remained in constant communication with me up until my travel date. I had a lot of questions and he always got back to me in a very timely manner. His professionalism stood out to me. Once I arrived in Cancun, I was met with the driver Daniel, who was super kind and funny. I got to the clinic and the first day they did an in-person consultation appointment just to get an idea of what exactly I wanted to be done or fixed. After the appointment, I went back to my hotel and the next day they did the first phase of my procedure which was to fix my original composite veneers and the dentist Dr Guillermo Gomez not only fixed my imperfections but gave me the exact beautiful smile I was looking for, to begin with. I also got filler under my eyes again as the original filler had already worn off. Dr Pazz did my under eye filler and was very gentle and did an amazing job as well. This was on a Saturday. I came back Monday for my final procedure which was an upper lip lift and was done by Dr Omar Lugo and he was super amazing! I felt absolutely zero pain and he made sure to constantly check on me and make sure I was ok as I was under local anaesthesia so I was awake throughout the whole thing. Initially, I was nervous but soon relaxed when I realized I couldn’t feel anything. Dr Lugo also made sure to explain everything he was doing at each step of the procedure. Also the same day, prior to my lip lift surgery the dentist checked my teeth and tweaked a minor thing on my upper right lateral. The entire team made sure I was satisfied with everything before I left Cancun. They also organized my transportation back to the airport as well. I have honestly never received this level of care and commitment to clients well being and happiness anywhere in the US especially at an affordable price! I highly highly recommend Cancun Dental Specialists and to the entire team: Greg Sanchez, Dr Omar Lugo, Dr Guillermo Gomez, Dr Pazz, Maggi, Carolina, to all the amazing nurses and staff and the amazing drivers as well, I just want to say Thank You! May you be blessed and I look forward to seeing you all in the future again.

JOHN BEGIN CANADA After years of struggling with failed root canals and missing molars l was faced with the harsh reality that l needed work was done that was forty-five thousand dollars plus and all the inconveniences of trying to get restoration work done at home. l discovered Cancun dental specialists and called them. Right away they guided me in what to do. Upon arrival in Cancun, l was picked up at the airport by one of their friendly drivers and dropped off at my hotel. Then l was picked up the next morning and off to the clinic. Was somewhat nervous and second-guessing myself what l was doing but once l was in their hands l was immediately put at ease. they did a very thorough evaluation and carefully explained my options for treatment. What a relief it was to have Dr Irma and her staff of professionals give me a permanent treatment at a fraction of the cost back in Canada. After five implants, fixing a failing root canal, eleven crowns, a cavity and many x-rays and teeth cleaning at no charge l am a very happy customer. These people make you feel so relaxed and reassured. They fix you up mentally and physically. Really feeling good about everything is done, no pain during or after treatment. Want to get yourself professional restoration work done these pros get it done. Now with a movie star smile.

Dr. Irma Gavaldon did an amazing job on my husband's broken tooth. she works in a very detailed and careful way. No pain. I think she did a better job than our dentist in Canada. Very impressed with the veneers. The price was also very affordable, very very happy with the results.
