Pre-treatment consultation only: Consultation and tests carried out prior to cataract surgery were excellent. Information given to me was clear and detailed.The test results were displayed visually on the computer screen and explained. The results were good and I was cleared for private cataract surgery in September at James Paget Hospital. I was assured that only experienced surgeons carry out these procedures. I felt confident that I had made the right decision to choose East Point Vision. I chose this clinic because of the high reputation of the surgeons carrying out cataract surgery at James Paget Hospital. East Point Vision administration responded by telephone within a few hours of my initial enquiry and within 24 hours offered me two pre-treatment consultation dates for the same week at James Paget Hospital. I accepted the consultation with Professor Ben Burton on 10 August 2017. The clinic staff were friendly and helpful and my consultation appointment was on time. The facilities are modern, comfortably appointed and located next to the Eye Clinic in James Paget Hospital, so extensive tests can be carried out immediately next door. I have nothing but praise for my visit and consultation.

I had a vitrectomy operation on my LEFT eye on 17th July to remove floaters. The operation was successful. I paid £3350.00 which covered my first clinic appointment, pre op assessment appointment, an excellent successful operation with a top Consultant Eye Surgeon and 2 follow up appointments. My Consultant Mr Craig Goldsmith is excellent and I highly recommend him. I have had excellent treatment from the day I first contacted the clinic. I was treated very well from the start. Mr Goldsmith's Medical Secretary Caron has been very helpful and supportive, keeping me updated and informed by email and arranging appointments convenient to me. I personally think it was excellent value for money. The East Point Vision clinic was spotlessly clean when I arrived and I was greeted by a friendly lady in reception. First impressions are the most important and I was very impressed. Mr Goldsmith is a really lovely, kind man. He is really easy to talk to and puts you at ease as soon as you meet him. He explains things in a clear way you can understand and most importantly he listens to you and gives you the opportunity to ask as many questions or discuss any fears you may have. He is one of the best eye surgeons which is very reassuring and I recommend him 100%.
