Were you pleased with the treatment? The visit to the clinic was as the result of an emergency. I have had corneal transplants and had an eye infection. I went to the clinic to get an exam to either confirm the infection or not. I had a slight infection and was given a prescription for same. Would you recommend the clinic? They were very helpful, easy to understand and friendly. I was surprised at the cost but found out that this was a private clinic. Would you return for further treatment? Yes, it was positive. I did have a problem locating the suite, but mostly because it was Saturday and there was no one there in the complex to ask for help. read more

I would like to thank Dr. Derda Ozer for my surgery and follow-up appointment, as well as Hassan and Zainab from the MDO team. I am especially grateful to Hassan, who served as my host, translating everything for me and taking care of me throughout the process—from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the hospital. I will always be thankful to them for my procedure and for being such excellent hosts.I was well taken care of by Dr. Derda Ozer, and the hospital was well-equipped, with all the necessary facilities. My surgery went well, and on the same day, I was transferred to my hotel. The following day, I had a follow-up appointment. Hassan took me on a tour of Istanbul, visiting Aya Sofya, the Sultanahmet area, and the Blue Mosque. I am very thankful to him for being a great host; he speaks excellent English, explains everything clearly, and is a genuinely positive person, and treated me like an older brother.Regarding my surgery, everything went according to plan like we talked about before my visit. As for the results, I am partially satisfied and still recovering, waiting for the final outcome related to my squint eye. I remain in communication with the MDO team and have been advised to give it three months, as recovery times can vary. I may consider future courses of action later on. If I achieve an 80% correction of my squint, I will be very happy. After my surgery, my eye still shows a slight deviation, and the size of my operated eye is still smaller than that of the other eye. Overall, I am satisfied with the surgery and remain hopeful for the best results.I would definitely recommend MDO, as they are a genuine clinic, and the hospital they use for surgeries has all the necessary facilities and is based in Istanbul. I went for a folllow-up treatment for an eye infection. Dr Yap read the referral notes and asked few questions. He checked on both eyes and advised on the cause of infection. He then prescribed some medicines to be taken within 2 weeks before the next follow-up appointment. The service was Efficient, friendly & professional. I experienced some issues, such as difficulty going downstairs, not seeing levels clearly, and even pouring wine beside the glass. I also noticed a shadow in my left eye, so I booked an appointment with Dr. Jan Ferwerda for an eye check-up. The ophthalmologist performed several tests and then asked me to cover my right eye and describe what I saw. My response was, "Not very much." After further examination, Dr. Ferwerda diagnosed a cataract in my left eye and recommended lens replacement. The surgery was scheduled for the following Friday, and the operation was a success. Afterwards, I had a follow-up appointment, and Dr Ferwerda proceeded with the right eye surgery. Now, I can see perfectly without glasses—it's like entering a new world with clear vision. In conclusion, the Eye Clinic is extremely professional in every aspect, from booking appointments to tests, surgeries, and the final exam with Dr. Ferwerda. I came from Finland for surgery with the doctor. As the surgery would be 1/5 of the price of what I would have to pay in in my own home country. I visited the doctor and he examined me and took the time to do all the proper tests to see if I needed the surgery or not. Turns out I had been misdiagnosed and there was no need for the surgery after all!! Though I did not need surgery, I can 100% recommend the doctor since he could have very easily said oh yeah sure let's do it, and just take my money! Overall the doctor was very professional and I could see that he had a lot of expertise and accumulated knowledge and it felt I could trust him. More than that the doctor’s assistant is amazing, speaks very good English, and provided clear and informed communication along the process. Very thankful for their efforts. read more
