I was diagnosed with congenital hip dysplasia. About six months ago it started to get worse and I was in serious pain doing my daily activities. After researching Prof. Fahri Erdogan for a long time I finally decided to consult him with my reports and files. International patient coordinator Mr Ege replied to me in an hour and collected the information they need to consult Dr Fahri. The next day Mr Ege got back to me with detailed explanations of Dr Fahri’s opinion, the injury and possible treatment processes. He sent me x-rays and videos of previous patients who had surgery for hip dysplasia. I knew Dr Fahri is known to be very successful in knee and hip replacement surgeries, but after seeing before-after videos of his patients I decided to book the trip and get the surgery performed by him. Mr Ege who spoke perfect English met us at the airport and was with us all the time. After meeting Dr Fahri in person for the physical examination I felt I am in safe hands due to his knowledge and confidence. His team arranged the treatment process as we spoke, and on my 3rd day in Istanbul, the surgery was performed.Dr Fahri and his team regularly visited me in the hospital during my 5-day stay. They helped me walk short distances. Even 1 day after the operation I was able to walk with a much better posture. They thought my physical therapy exercises and explained to me the healing period briefly. After resting 3 more days at the hotel Mr Ege dropped us to the airport for our flight back. It has been 5 months since the surgery and I can’t tell you how happy I am. I am able to walk with a much better posture and no pain at all. I used to avoid events that require physical activity before the surgery. Now I am basically able to do anything without help. I can take care of my daily jobs, join social gatherings and enjoy my days again.
