The dentist took no time to review me and confirmed what my other dentist diagnosed. He even slashed the amount of the consultation fee in half. That was very good of him, as he doesn't have to. As a child in the, I was traumatised by my experiences at the hands of the school dental service which I carried through into my adult life. After suffering from years of pain through various issues with my teeth, I plucked up courage to contact Ferndale House Dental Practice to make an appointment. My fear was so great that I was actually in tears during the call. I attended my first appointment physically shaking but had no cause to worry. My first steps inside the reception completely changed my opinion. Every member of staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Mr Duran is amazing, he calmed my extensive nerves and during every consultation, he asks if I feel ok with what is being done and stops whenever I need to take a break. White Filling Cleaning Unfortunately the main focus of Mr Lee seems to be money and profit, rather than the best interests of his patients. His communication skills are poor and he seems to have little respect for the opinions of others and can be economic with the truth. I have heard from others that the quality of procedures is fine, but I would advise avoidance. Find a dentist who will be willing to work with you, listen to your concerns and give honest and fair advice. read more

n/a I had been experiencing severe tooth pain from an impacted wisdom tooth for several days. My NHS dentist, who I had seen already that week, had told me that a referral to the dental hospital could take up to a month. Since then the pain had become unbearable and after several sleepless nights I decided to go for a private dentist. I searched for emergency tooth extractions and found Reldand Dental. I called the clinic at 9am to make an emergency appointment to have my tooth removed, informing the lady on the other end what the problem was. I was told a complex extraction would cost £95, which although costlier than on the NHS was something I was prepared for. I was asked to pay a £34 cost over the phone which I was told this would secure my appointment. At the clinic itself I waited 15 minutes before I was seen. I told the dentist my situation. She then preceded to take an x-ray of my mouth. After looking at the x-ray she told me that I was suffering from an impacted wisdom tooth (which I knew!) and she could do an extraction on Monday and it would be £200. I found this extremely frustrating, having been told a figure HALF the price over the phone and also having been informed I could expect the extraction that day!! Since I had taken the afternoon off work I found this to be a real difficulty and the lack of communication had been so costly to me. I was then given a £10 fee for the X-Ray! I couldn't believe it, £44 for essentially nothing. I will be lodging a formal complaint. read more

I have been visiting Ed at Gentle Dentristry for a few months. He has, very patiently, replaced all my 40+ year old crowns, bridged over my broken and missing teeth and left me with a fantastic smile - the like of which I haven’t had for 40 years! I’m absolutely delighted! I can’t praise the staff there highly enough. From the smiling receptionist to the dental nurses. Everyone cares about your visit. I can highly recommend them! read more

New top set of implants. Amazing from start to finish. All done by Ray himself, His team compliment the practice with great communication about appointments and procedures and payments. Mrs McNamara is always at the end of the phone to clarify any matters, Aftercare and advice on keeping my implants safe and lasting for my lifetime was excellent. I now have a great smile which I had forgotten how to do and confidence is great thanks again Ray and the Team. read more
